4, 7, 20, 26! :)
4. three songs that you know thanks to your parents
Honestly, Iāve been thinking about it for a while and I canāt name anything. My parents did like music when they were young, we had some records of local artists (not sure what happened to those records though haha). But music never was an integral part of their lives like it is of mine. So yeah, no songs but what I can say is they never tried to put any limits on what music and how much I listen to (like some parents do).
7. three songs you didnāt expect to like but eventually loved
So, ok, I remember I liked a Bieber song, Love Yourself (thatās just not the corner of music where I venture to very often). The reason I even knew about it is because I liked the dancers in the music video) They were choreographers on SYTYCD or something like that and I liked them. I canāt say I loved the songĀ but I did like it. Also EnergiaĀ by Sofi Tukker. I heard it thanks to figure skating. At first I thought itās hella annoying)) but then I warmed up to it and even enjoyed. Also Gangnam Style haha)) I thought it was fun)
20. three songs that remind you of the person who sends this one
I never heard of AURORA before I followed you, and I got curious about who she is after I saw you posting about her) so I checked her out, the first song I listened to was, I think, Running with Wolves, because I liked the name)) (I did liked her! maybe not to the point of her becoming one of my fave artists but I know of her now so Iāll be checking out on whatās new from her from time to time:)) And, like you, I also love London Grammar - donāt have any other onlineĀ acquaintances who do (donāt even ask about my offline ones lol), so it was nice to know other people who appreciate Hannahās majestic voice:) and I also like Florence. I donāt know which specific songs to name but seeing people I follow have similar music taste as me makes me all warm and fuzzy inside))
26. three favourite non-English songs
So my favorite non-English language lol is French even though I donāt speak it (yet!). Quelqu'un m'a ditĀ by Carla Bruni has been living in my playlist forr years, also now Iām very into LāImperatrice, their song Agitations tropicalesĀ is a total summer love. And now Iām about to hit you with a song in Ladin. Thereās a band called Ganes that sings in this language, and I really like thei song NŃi, of which I found out because my favorite figure skater is in the music video)) I do like the song a lot!
ā, ā, ā, ā, ā! Let's again have fun because your asks finally work! :D
hey, nice! thank you!
i blame the pen for the quality of handwriting. first four i tried were dead. i b&w this cuz the contrast was wack . bless my shadowed picture

āļø that'd be lovely!
:)!
AM by Arctic Monkeys :D
the first song from this album I heard:Ā
do I own the album?: again, in mp3 form only. I should do something about my collection, Iām getting concerned lol.
my favorite song: actually, I think itās Knee Socks. I like how it flows, I love that damn guitar riff, I love Josh Homme on backing vocals (āaalll the zeroooos lined up...ā), I love the bridge (I feel like the bridge game is strong with this one). Iām always excited when this song comes up, itās my most listened on this album.
my least favorite song: I always skip Mad Sounds. Not because I think itās bad, but I just kinda donāt feel it. I even deleted it off my mp3 player because I skip it anyway lol.
a song I didnāt like at first, but now do: Not I Wanna Be Yours, I was into I wanna be your vacuum cleaner from the get-go lol! Maybe #1 Party Anthem, not that I didnāt like it at first but at the beginning I was more into, well, groovier songs from the album, this one took some time. Again, the bridge!
a song I used to like, but now donāt: Donāt think I have one! Well, maybe now sometimes when Iām not in the mood, I may skip Snap Out Of It, and I was very into this song originally.
my favorite lyric: So you know what? Maybe if you havenāt asked I wouldnāt think of it but... Well, in my opinion Alex is the best lyricist on the scene currently (imo imo imo), and he has a way with words like no one other, and I have sooo many favorite lines, and I can give you the whole list of my favorite lyrics that he wrote (like, Oversharing and itās bitter aftertaste - how about that?! It reeeeeally hit me when I first heard it), but now that I think about it, none of that comes from AM. Yes, itās their most successful album, the most mainstream, and maybe thatās why itās the least adventurous lyrically? Like, no, all the songs are still alex-turnered, by the way he creates images in songs and by the way he avoids cliches, but thereās no aha! moments in it for me.
I mean, no, there are still lots of good lines, I suppose I like Arabella (so does Alex himself lol) And when she needs a shelter from reality, she takes a dip in my daydreams and all that.
And I Wanna Be Yours is not his lyrics, so it doesnāt count.
overall rating out of 10: I like this album, objectively itās a great album with real catchy hits, great bit to the songs. Itās a very... American album, I wanna say, but not sure I can explain it lol Iām not very good at explaining music when it goes beyond how I feel about it. I listen to it a lot! But subjectively itās not my favorite of theirs (and not even a second favorite).
