miharayama kana is the scorched earth hero: scoria. sheâs been one of endeavorâs top sidekicks for nearly a decade. sheâs the oldest of the flaming sidekickers, sort of acting like the big sister in the groupâs dynamic.

I mean not shocked about the police guy being an ass like that đ I still side eye the fuck out of him for his reaction to Aoyama turning out to be a traitor, and acting like he murdered his family as if the young teen wasnât a scared boy worried for the safety of his and his parents life all the while being A okay with an abuser on the heroes side!
On another note - what is your opinion on Enjiâs sidekicks?
Listen, the reaction to Aoyama being traitor was so annoying to me from so many angles. Kid had no choice, take issue with his idiot parents putting him in that situation!
Endeavor's sidekicks are interested and I kinda wish they got explored a bit more, especially post Touya reveal because each of them are very different from Endeavor in personality (seemingly kind and in heroics for more altruistic reasons).
Burnin especially because in her profile, Hori says she didn't start out liking Endeavor at all and grew respect for him only after seeing his hero work in person. I would've loved to see her reaction to the abuse reveal and processing it because, again, she only grew to respect Endeavor as a hero, seemingly not as a person.

Is HK going to address the Todoroki animal mutant bigotry now? If he does, I hope he doesnât just say Because Endeavor and call it a day. Maybe heâll do something like âworking with Horse Man Sidekick changed Endeavorâs viewsâ but that would be so lazy imoďżź.
Judging by Shoutoâs conspicuous absence in Kodaâs flashback, itâs looking like not. My cynical read is that Shouto is too popular with the fanbase (the portion of it that partakes in popularity polls, anyway) and so Hori and/or his editor donât want to call attention to it. Possibly weâre meant to assume that Shouto has matured and made friends with enough heteromorphs that he wouldnât do it again, but I wish very much that Sero and Shouto had been there for Shoujiâs backstory dump. I think Sero has as much to apologize to Shouji for as Mineta, and Shouto could at least have had a flashback to that time with Tsuragamae and looked uncomfortable.
That said, I care more about seeing it openly acknowledged than meticulously explained. Much as some people didnât want Endeavor to get a Sad Backstory to explain why heâs Like That, I donât need Horikoshi to explain why Shouto uses the kind of language that he does; I would just like Shouto to be confronted with the fact that itâs an issue. Because I think âbackground radiation of their societyâs widespread dehumanization of heteromorphsâ is a perfectly adequate explanation, I do agree that handwaving it as Because Endeavor would be pretty lazy.
(Someone should tell that to fandom, who have thus far been a lot more likely to use that excuse than Horikoshi himself.)
[Chaos theory] After the festival, Izuku will fulfill his pledge against Endeavor with the buckets of water. As a result, heâll establish a somewhat chaotic relationship with Endeavor sidekickers. On the one hand, he is a vigilante and he is messing with Endeavor, their hero. On the other hand, they make money from each other by betting how many times during a single patrol Endeavor will be caught off guard by some bucket of water he left. Sidekickers: Come down here and fight like a man! Nora, hanging on something: Get up here and fight like a cat!
