💃🏻 It’s finally here…

💃🏻 Last year, the stars aligned. Maya de Silva Chafe (my first Flamenco teacher) and I were in the same part of the world at the same time. So I leapt at the opportunity to sit down and have an in-depth conversation with Maya on all-things-Flamenco.

💃🏻 Flamenco isn’t just a dance or type of music—it’s A WAY OF LIFE. What we know as Flamenco today slowly developed over centuries—millennia, in fact—due to a vast array of cultural influences that even includes “new world” influences. 

💃🏻 But these aren’t the only reasons why I love Flamenco. I love Flamenco because when dancing it, singing it, playing, or watching it, it actually deeply connects you to WHAT IT MEANS TO BE HUMAN. It’s something that can’t be fully grasped thru explanation, but can definitely be felt thru direct experience.
