I went to an awesome sparkling wine pop up yesterday!  Fiz Bar recently opened within private members bar and art gallery venue Lights of Soho, just on the edge of Lexington and Broadwick Street. Trying to show a more accessible twist to Champagne, their prices are cheap! Their sparkling fizz is starting from £4.50 with bottles from £22.  From something English to something a little different, I love their Black Queen, infused with a hint of cherry.  The walls are decorated with a mix of illuminated emoji faces and quirky colourful paintings! They purpose built a kitchen/bar area specially for the pop up that serves up a tasty range of sharing plates.  Their meat platter (inc. chorizo and Parma ham) and cheeseboard (inc. driftwood goats cheese and Caerphilly) with quince jam were both served with jet black charcoal bread, bought in fresh daily from the Celtic Brother's bakery.  They served buns (a version of burger sliders).  Shredded duck, pork belly with crackling crumb and a reuben style one that was delicious!my dining buddy said the pastrami bun (with sauerkraut, pickles and Red Leicester) was like a Mc Donald's burger but better.  Can't argue with that!  This place is one of the best pop ups I've seen and with the passionate owners supporting a relatively unknown product in this country, it's about time you visited!
