We need to find small victories where we can. For me, being back at the cusp of dipping under 260 pounds is one of them.
We've all had a rough year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. For me it was trying to stay active, especially during the five months from March to August that I wasn't able to work. I was able to get some walking in and using the Peloton but my activity level was nowhere near my usual output.
I'm blessed to say that my COVID-19 weight gain wasn't as bad as others. Though to he honest, I weighed 265.2 at the beginning of March 2020 and by May 18, 2020 I was sitting at 271.4. I hovered throughout the high 260s until November 2020 when I picked up my second job. Having an extra three to four days of getting steps both outdoors and in and around Barnes and Noble have worked wonders for the weight loss and activity. Add to that the steady changes in diet and the severe curtailing of alcohol intake, I'm back on track. Now if I can only do something about my 🍫🦷😁
Hopefully I can continue the pace and reach that elusive 245 pound goal I have for myself. The closest I got was 248 back in 2017. I'll get there.
And for those of you who are having difficulties with weight, just keep at it. When I started my adventure by getting my first Fitbit Blaze, I weighed 276 and at my worst during the early 2000s, I tipped over 300 lbs. The weight can be lost. It just takes time, effort and dedication. You just have to find what works for you. Just keep at it!!!
