I always wonder what it takes to start a library. mostly because the idle fantasy of starting my own tiny library is fun to think about. I'd collect a lot of strange books and share them with everyone. I think it would be small enough to manage without computers. just a card catalogue and written registries and I'd spend my days managing everything by hand.
imagine a moderate collection of books in one room and a comfortable reading room with a fireplace.
I know libraries are much much more than reading rooms with books these days but it's my imaginary library and thats what I want.
I'm tired and sometimes i hate computers and want to quit them forever. this is my "when I quit computers" dream. everyone in tech has one I think.
