Sharing my very first sketch and final illustration for the children’s book “Pony Tails for Mikhail”. My initial proposal was for cuter, rounder figures (even the horse is a bit more roly poly), but the author eventually decided on a more realistic depiction; which I was happy to do too. It’s always fun to look back on my first roughs and see how it evolved.
