The Month That Ran Faster Than Me
I honestly didn’t realize how fast the days were passing—because before I knew it, the first month of 2026 was already over. January came in hot and hectic. Work kept me so busy that I barely had time to breathe. I was coming home late almost every day, working long hours, and wondering where all my energy went.
On top of that, we started constructing some parts of our house this year. Which sounds exciting… until you suddenly don’t know where to sleep anymore 😂 Our usual place literally disappeared for a while, and moving around felt like a mini adventure every night. Exhausting, but still something I’ll probably laugh about in the future.
Despite all the chaos, January still gave me something worth celebrating—two years with my loving boyfriend 🤍 Two years already! Let’s stay together forever, okay? No change of heart, no exit, no plot twists please 😂 I really hope next time we get to celebrate it together. I love you.
This month also reminded me of something very important health is truly wealth. I became even busier when my boss suddenly got sick while abroad, which caused delays and unexpected stress at work. Around the same time, my high school friend’s father passed away due to health complications. Listening to her talk about her dad broke my heart. She shared how grateful she was that she got to spend time with him last year, even if work only allowed her a short time. She never imagined that life could be that short. She told me something I won’t forget: “Spend time with your parents. Konti na lang ang time nila dito sa mundo.” That hit me deeply. As January ends, I realize that no matter how busy life becomes, I must make time—for my family, for the people I love, and for myself. Work can wait. Deadlines can move. But time with loved ones can never be replaced. Another month has passed, and I’m taking this lesson with me: Take care of your health. Don’t stress too much. And always, always make time for family. Hello, 2026. Let’s do better from here. ✨
