Last night was my return to First Friday at @bluestarartscomplex . I knew exactly where I wanted to go. I made a beeline straight to @flightgallery . I knew that @davidartistsa was going to be exhibiting his collection of plaster masks.  When he first told me he was working on it I was astounded by the concept and knew it would be a profoundly significant visual event. "United Collective" uses 600 plaster masks to show us the amazing similarities we have when we shift our attention away from our differences. It's about harmony. But not creating harmony. David's showing us the harmony that's already there. Afterwards, I went down to @bluestarart (which I haven't done in forever!) and checked out the other galleries. Last night it was First Friday in December! I headed down to the @bluestarartscomplex to see the sights. I absolutely HAD to drop in and see the exceptionally talented and divinely inspired @jagwiredart over at @artmatterssa Had an eye-opening conversation with founder Vanessa Herrera Colón about life as an Artist and gallery owner. Afterwards, it was a cascade of interesting sights and familiar faces. The Art Market at @brickatbluestar was fascinating, as usual. In the halls I saw fellow @the.art.of.four member and @intheeye_gallery exhibiting artist @kaldricdesigndow , @davidartistsa , @sonyamariesky , @trebla_art , @kellerrihn and a special treat: I was reunited with former student Jill De La Cruz and her husband, Mike Arocha!
