Even when separated they are both not completely normal, following their passions without a care for much else and their determination unvavering even when faced with death
Zoro fights and fights, doesn't stop battling and protecting what's his, never wavers and is resolute. He has his values set and stays himself even in the worst of situations, a pillar standing strong even in the worst of wars
Luffy is also resolute, but goes about his days without a care for complicated matters, choosing to free anyone in need of freedon and feed anyone who's hungry. His carefree nature and simple-mindedness keeps anyome around hooked and interested
Together they are a two man army, capable of advancing forward like no others. Knowing that they have each others backs, no matter the situation or place. Their innate senses adapted to each others presence in mind boggling ways, truly something rare in nature
Even outside of battle the bond they have stays, leaving the other crew members wondering if they've known each other for years, about how they met. Surely such a thing wouldn't happen in a day?
The partnership the captain and the first-mate share is frankly bizzare, even amongst the strawhats - people notorious for being weird
