It's the plot of the show, but Sprite needed to tell First what was happening so much sooner than he did, and the fact that the show dragged it out for so long so we had to witness First feel like he was in a mentally abusive relationship ruined the last parts of the show. Sprite had so many chances to confess, but instead, he let First believe he was crazy."
