Fireshadow stuff for you bff… thinkinh about the fatherification of smilk to fire…. Oh yeah. Cause like yeah first and foremost theyre best friends but theyre also brothers and also fire is another one of smilks kids, and fire has a crazy attachment to him. Oh yeah.

I think in a sense fire is attched to smilk in a fatherly way because he sort of views smilk as the father he WISHES he had, vs the one he actually has. Like he loves pitaya but i think smilk allows him a certain freedom to express himself that he doesnt feel he has with pitaya. And as we have discussed, he finds a certain refuge in smilks bipolar disorder, because it reminds him of his mother’s bipolar disorder, and i think his inner child is really, really attached to that behavior.

In kind of a sour way, i think he often finds himself desperately craving to be sort of ‘babied’ by smilk in the same way that saph and candy, especially candy, get to be. Idk im thinking about those times in n2n london where gabe is in such baby mode… pathetic child mode… makes me so sad— and i think there is such a way that he aches to act like that and be coddled like that (and thats precisely why a Certain Someone acts like that, too, is bc its a direct reflection of his conscious), because he never got that sort of coddling as a kid and he finds smilk to be a safe place to be treated like that. I think hes always envious every time candy gets treated that way. I have also been thinking that i think the reason hes so physically affectionate with smilk is coming from that same mentality, even if neither of them realize it. Dont tweak out wind archer— he doesnt want smilk… he wants to be smilks kid.
