I feel like Billy would live with Hopper when he isn't at the station and they get along really well. All the firefighters glare at Hopper because Billy is basically his son, but they've all pseudo-adopted him

Billy refuses to call ambulances by name. He calls them anything but. Things like wambulance, weewoo wagon, boo boo bus, etc.

Steve once asked if he could lick the truck to see if it tasted like apples and Billy was very concerned

Steve is obviously very good at first aid and is always the first person the kids yell for when one of them gets hurt

The fire department can always tell when a call is just some bullshit from a housewife that's hoping for Billy and they send anyone but

Steve makes fun of Billy for when he was a lifeguard because, according to him, it's like a baby emt

They both have savior complexes, but for two very different reasons. Billy wants to protect everyone from things they shouldn't have to go through, but Steve wants to save everyone from the world.

Steve can read doctor handwriting

The entire fire department is like Billy's family so you can bet they grilled Steve and gave him all sorts of shovel talks.

On the other hand, the paramedics just looked at Billy, looked at Steve, looked back at Billy, and asked him "You want this dumbass??" Steve tries his very hardest to keep Billy and the paramedics separate because otherwise they just share stories about stupid stuff he's done.

Billy loves getting the calls for cats and kids stuck in trees.

Hopper loves when something happens on Cherry Lane and Neil sees his (former) son do something heroic af.

Will has a weird habit of getting stuck in weird shit. Chairs, rooms, alternate dimensions, etc. And he's embarrassed to near crying every time Billy and some of the other firefighters show up with just the "Again?" look

Steve is absolutely the guy that says "paramedics save lives, but EMTs save paramedics"

When Starcourt burns down, Steve and Billy are some of the first on the scene and Steve has to tell Billy that there are other people that can help save survivors. This is especially true when Billy is pulling Hopper out by himself or 20 minutes earlier when he was carrying like 3 kids.

Please never let Steve watch a medical drama. He's fine with comedies cause those aren't gonna be accurate by nature. But medical dramas piss him off. Billy is very similar with cop shows

The firefighters and paramedics make bets each week leading up to their date nights for whoever is gonna be worse for wear.

Steve is really good at cleaning the bus. The medics almost don't want to let anyone else do it, but that's probably not fair to Steve.

The paramedics hold barbeques and every. single. time. someone asks if they should call the fire department just to embarrass their favorite EMT.

Bonus: Max goes to nursing school and gets bragging rights over both of them cause they see more of Steve than Billy and has more medical knowledge than Steve.
