A bright red and orange plant that grows in the arid and hot areas of Azeroth.

Colloquial names:  Fire Flower, Ashantri’s Favorite (author colloquial), Booster Juice (more so in reference to the oil than the plant), “KERBLAM”, yelled by goblins.

Physical Description: Firebloom grows in incredibly hot, arid areas of Azeroth, most notably the Blasted Lands and the Searing Gorge. When handling this herb you must take caution, as its leaves secrete an oil that burns the skin on contact. Firebloom specimens are easy to identify by the brightness of their red and orange blooms, resembling a lily in structure. The stamen glows like a lit match, and quite resembles one in size and shape. The stems are of similar yellow-red, vibrant hue, with bent, spear-shaped leavess cascading along.

Described Usage: Firebloom oil is the chiefly useful reagent of this herb. One of it’s more interesting applications is it being a primary ingredient for the rocket fuel used by goblins-the other ingredient being very alcoholic rum, aptly named “volatile rum”. Firebloom Oil causes severe burns when applied directly to skin, and is known to slowly burn through even heavier plate armor. One of the most unimaginative yet effective alchemical creations with this oil is the Oil of Immolation, which is nothing more than a large vial of the oil with a makeshift charge for lighting. When lit and thrown the impact to the surface shatters the vial, splashing the oil as the light ignites it- this is also called a “Ratchet Cocktail”. The oil from Firebloom is also used to create Elixirs of Greater Firepower, where when consumed heightens the user’s ability to perform more potent fire magic.
