The new event really makes me wonder what the Pasio timeline looks like.
Like, does any new event take place in the year it premieres? (Have Kabu and Larry and all the others inexplicably been away from their Gym Leader jobs for multiple years at this point? Was Hassel only invited to Pasio well over a year after all the rest of his colleagues?)
Or are the events all kind of mixed up? Is this hot spring the same one from the end of Middle-Aged Opposites? Larry seemed kind of surprised to run into Kabu there, whereas if the end of Middle-Aged Opposites has passed, then why would he be? (Seems like exactly where he ought to expect to run into Kabu, in fact.) And the focus on the food, and the Hoennian bent to the whole thing, makes me genuinely really wonder if this is the place where Larry and Kabu go to "go to the hot springs and eat Hoenn specialties" at the end of Opposites.
