"  I am confused.  ”  stating , pale eyes shining with a twinkle of innocence while holding a stuffed animal with one of his arms.  something which he had picked up from a local store within the town lines.  “  I thought all children were thrilled with a sudden gifting of one of these toys.  ”  despite fatherhood , there were still things which he had yet to fully understood and perhaps it applied to being an uncle as well.  “ perhaps sam would enjoy it.  ”  thinking out loud , thoughtfully to himself.

there was a time when the freedom of doing absolutely nothing would have sounded like a dream come true. and in some ways, maybe it could be. but mj had found bigger things she wanted to do with her life. drinking and partying her life away wasn’t going to get anything done for her. her life had already been put on hold, in a way, for five years. the last thing she wanted to do was lose more time. “signing up for classes at the school feels like the most logical thing to do right now. but like, who could possibly be teaching the classes? have you thought about that? it’s kind of strange, really,” she commented, speaking in a stream of consciousness kind of way. 

to say she ever was capable of decent sleep would be a lie. for years, gamora wasn’t even aware that decent sleep existed. she was fully under the impression that no one slept comfortably and woke up rested. it was just a thing she lived with. over the past few years, she’d grown to find that comfort could be found at times, even if not regularly, and the promise that she may sleep well one night or another was enough to help her relax at times. now, however, she found that each night was sleepless since she’d arrived on zerthea. gamora knew the smart thing to do would be to find a kiosk and get some information on what she could do to sleep. instead, she found herself walking outside at night, looking up at the sky in hopes of finding stars she recognized. “i’m starting to question if this place is even real,” she admitted, half thinking out loud.
