I slapped these pictures from Google images together as a moodboard for #FinishUrBookFall and since my tweet didn’t get much traction (no surprises though; I barely put in effort promoting myself there) I’m turning to tumbles for those sweet hits of dopamine.
I only have one more already-been-through-so-many-edits chapter to polish off before this manuscript is FINALLY donion rings (like, I will NOT tweak it anymore after this) so next step is drafting the query letter. I’ll give myself one month to do that and start contacting agents in January. However, #PitMad is on Dec 5 and I do have my Twitter pitches ready!! I can’t believe I finally get to participate, so very excited. Here’s a longer version of it:
A magician promises the stars the tale of a lifetime when he transforms a bear cub into a human. One kiss from a prince will turn her back. Unknowing of her origins, Ursa grows into a shy young woman content to live her days roaming the wild forest around the mysterious Mountain -- until the royal family comes thundering through the valley on the cusp of Midsummer.
Genre: Fantasy/Romance
Comps: Stardust x Uprooted x The Princess Bride
(And most obviously inspired by Evgenii Shvarts’s An Ordinary Miracle)
