Okay, so first my full name is Giselle, but everyone calls me Gigi. I’m sixteen years old and have been writing for ever. I’ve been horseback riding since age 4 and do competitive showjumping and equitation. I’m from an Iranian-American family, but am adopted so, I don’t really know what I am. My favorite actor is Ramin Karimloo, because of his angelic voice. #Angel of Music. With that being said, I am a lover of musicals. Les Mis, Moulin Rouge, Phantom/LND have to be my top three. My favorite version of Phantom of The Opera is the 25th Anniversary. My favorite show is Avatar The Last Airbender, and Azula is my favorite character followed by Sokka. 

One funny quirk about my writing is before I start writing, I will cast the book. So for my next post I’ll share who I cast as who. It helps me create a vision for the characters so I have something more to go off of than just my own imagination. For example, I cast Hades as Ramin Karimloo because I’ve seen him play The Phantom, and Hades being Ruler of the Underworld I can draw from that. For Anastasia, I took inspiration from myself, Azula, and Wanda Maximoff and Natashs Romanoff. 

The Nightshade Chronicles was inspire by Percy Jackson mainly being twelve I wanted to create my own take of the Greek Gods. I just made it a bit more mature and a lot darker. Fair warning, there is some dark stuff in the books, and it progresses gradually through them. If needed there will be trigger warnings.

K through 7, Chord had been that boy every class had. The one with gel spiked hair, and an adorably sweet face; the one every girl had a crush on. Unfortunately, he lacked the social skills to live up to the hype. All awkward silence and no small talk. Social anxiety does that.

It wasn’t until high school that Chord really understood his place when he mastered the art of sarcasm and well-placed silence. It almost made him cool. The band helped too.
