HII!! I read Karakantza's Necropolitics article yesterday and it was super interesting! This may be a long shot, but do you know whether there are articles analyzing specifically how the women's deaths are treated in such plays? I.e. the necropolitics + gender politics of women in antiquity? In truth, it made me think of the sacrifice of women/children for men's purposes, i.e. Iphigenia
not super specifically (@kallimakhos or @finelythreadedsky might be able to help you better) but i wrote a paper on the Antigone and civil disobedience in Athenian democracy for my MA, so i dug up the bibliography for you. I'm currently writing on Iphigeneia, but not in tragedy, so idk how much that would help you.
