I should really be studying right now but this thought keeps bugging me like that someone whom I try to forget but can't seem to get rid off my system. You get that feels? Sucks right? So to temporarily divert me in contemplating, I wrote this piece.
If finding Mr and Miss right have a playlist, then maybe this could be it. Last sunday, as I attended the service, this father and son shared a list of songs about finding the ONE. I don't know but it strucked me and made me realized yeah! It does makes sense.
"wishing there would be, someone waiting home for me"
"sana sinabi mo nang di na umasa may tayo pa sa huli"
"ease my trouble that's what you do"
"Bawat kilig na nadarama sa tuwing hawak ang iyong kamay, ito'y maling akala isang malaking sablay"
"love will keep us alive"
"mundo'y magiging ikaw"
"now and forever till the day I die, you and I will share"
True enough finding someone who could swept you off your feet is fleeting, like a drug that could make you high but at the same time could also turn your world upside down. It gives you hope, it breaks you down; it isn't always patient and kind, sometimes it tears you down. Complex isn't it? If I were you, would you still choose to start over?
We meet people like Elijah, they cross our paths to be a blessing or to be a lesson learned. I too have met my Elijah years ago and that path wasn't easy. I kept trying to think of the good side of him crossing my path. Years have past and yep I realized that somehow, he did something good to me. I realized I could love genuinely. He's a blessing. I kept thinking him that way tho pangs of heartbreak still lingers from time to time.
I ask you before if you still want to choose to start over and I tell you that you should. I haven't got the answer myself of why I should do it but maybe if there's one this could be it: "it is not good for man to be alone (Gen 2:18)"
