I'm currently on a quest to up my whimsy. Here's what I've done so far! Some ideas I came up with myself and some I got from corners of the Internet that I frequent:
• updated my background, lock-screen, and layout of my phone with cute and fun pictures and lots of widgets
• started talking like a surfer dude when I'm really into something (if you've ever watched Jawsh on TikTok you know the vibe)
• started saying "that's so movie" at inconveniences cause they would advance the plot in a Hallmark film, why not for me? (Shout-out faithisnotcool on TikTok for this one)
• gave myself an elaborate morning routine before my partners wake up. I put on some quiet tavern music and pretend I'm "opening up shop" for the day
• make lists of everything. CD's and Vinyls I want to own, current hobbies, shows we're watching and what episode we're on, peoples favorite song or food, and so much more
• standing outside in the sunlight and saying "photosynthesis" in a funny voice like I'm charging up a spell
Anyone else trying to increase their whimsy? Got suggestions for what else I should try?
Sorry for losing the whimsy. My lungs are barely functioning and my brain wants to explode. I'll get back on my bullshit momentarily.

March 1-7
Back to real life after a vacation. There was snow on the ground Saturday but melted without needing to shovel on Sunday.
I walked through the zoo briefly on Sunday. The melting snow kept most people away and I had it mostly to myself. The big cats were vocalizing their opinions on everything. It was breezy enough that I didn't stay long.
It was cloudy and foggy so the lunar eclipse was hidden.
The dairy farm that makes the best ice cream opened again after being closed for the winter. Even more than the bird songs, it's a sign of spring. We made it
I have decided I am done wearing a winter coat. Wish me luck. So far I've been okay with sweatshirts and fleeces
Friday, despite rain, was wonderfully warm and humid. I took a long walk through the neighborhood (sans coat). It's rained all week. I wonder how long until the grass looks green
Saturday morning, sat outside with my coffee and journal and blanket. Damp, less humid, cooler, but not raining. I heard mourning doves, bluejays, robins, crows, tufted titmouse, nuthatches, sparrows.
Babysat my nephews Saturday afternoon. Everything was "that's so silly." And we read The Bearnstain Bears scratch and sniff Christmas book I got him last year at least four times
February 15-21
Sunday and Monday were stunning. Took many walks while the weather was gorgeous. Heard birds. Saw buds.
The rest of the week was cold. Reminded us it's only February. And was busy at work. Always is right before I'm on pto. Getting home late and scrambling to find time to pack and do laundry
