You’ve always been one of those folks willing to read whatever nonsense I put out there, even if you don’t know the source material. I appreciate that. I like to think if we’re mutuals and share a sensibility, it’s worth checking out other things we’re into because there’s always overlap.

I am all about the minutiae in fic. I love bits of business, private business, boring business. All the real life stuff that’s not really good for drama but contributes to character in a way that hooks me. I get bored of TV and film that lacks specificity and it’s not having the writers or actors spell everything out for me--ON THE CONTRARY--I like space. I like finding a way into things, even if it’s the wrong take. I want the option to have opinions on that photo taped on the wall that’s never commented on, or the song that plays or the looks that people exchange without explanation or immediate follow-through. That’s the good shit right there.

(THE “CATLIKE BLINK OF TRUST”! I can’t believe we may see that blink again. I’ve been quiet on that revival because of my lingering ill will towards iZombie but I’m not gonna lie. I am excited.)
