Demo Day and Pitching Experience:
Demo Day is an exciting and nerve-wracking day for any startup. It's a chance for us student entrepreneurs to showcase our business ideas and startups, our progress, and our potential to investors and potential customers. It's an opportunity to get feedback, to make connections, and to get funding. But it's also a high-pressure situation that requires a lot of preparation, practice, and confidence.
One of the keys to a successful demo day is having a clear and compelling pitch. A pitch should communicate our business idea in a way that is easy to understand, memorable, and persuasive. It should convey the problem we are solving, the market opportunity, our unique value proposition, and our team's qualifications. And it should do all of this in a concise and engaging manner.
During the actual demo day, it's important to stay calm and focused. Remember that everyone in the audience wants us to succeed and is rooting for us. Make eye contact, speak clearly and confidently, and don't rush through our pitch. And be prepared to answer questions from the audience. This is our chance to showcase our knowledge and expertise, so don't be afraid to show off what we know.
GEE 16 Entrepreneurship Course Takeaways:
The GEE 16 Entrepreneurship Course is a comprehensive program designed to help aspiring entrepreneurs learn the skills they need to start and grow a successful business. Throughout the semester, I have learned a lot about this course. The importance of a strong business plan A business plan is the foundation of any successful business. It should include a clear and concise description of our business idea, our target market, our competition, our marketing strategy, and our financial projections. Second is the value of customer discovery. Before we start building our product or service, it's important to understand our customers' needs and preferences. This means conducting market research, talking to potential customers, and getting feedback on our idea. Third is the need for a strong team. Building a successful business requires a team of people with complementary skills and expertise. It's important to find people who share our vision and are passionate about our idea. Next is the importance of adaptability. Starting a business is a journey that will be full of ups and downs. It's important to be flexible and adaptable and to be willing to pivot our business model if necessary. And also the value of networking: Building a network of mentors, advisors, and potential investors can be invaluable for any entrepreneur. Attend industry events, join entrepreneur groups, and connect with other entrepreneurs in our community. And lastly, the role of persistence Starting a business is not easy, and it will require hard work, dedication, and persistence. You will face obstacles and setbacks, but it's important to stay focused on your goals and keep pushing forward. But, above all this learning, there is the teaching method that our professor or instructor has provided us. Thank you, Ma'am Shigella Pauline Hebra, for sharing your knowledge in this kind of field. Your advice and the lessons you have given us have always been in our hearts and minds. Overall, the GEE 16 Entrepreneurship Course provides a comprehensive overview of the skills and knowledge needed to start and grow a successful business. By following these key takeaways and putting in the hard work, any aspiring entrepreneur can turn their business idea into a reality.

For this week's lecture series, we have our speaker Engr. Miriam Bergado who discussed us about the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and Traction.
A Minimum Viable Product or MVP is a product with just enough features to attract early-adopter clients and verify a new concept early in the development cycle. MVP will help us to find clarity and focus on the core functionality of our product. Also it will help us to develop early relationship with the customer and better understand what the customer needs.
Traction refers to the initial progress of a startup and the momentum it builds as it grows. Traction is important to us because the higher the traction, the more investors are attracted to our business.
Therefore, MVP and traction is the process of learning and validating a product with the least amount of work and resources in order to sell it and generate revenue.
