I just read the end of Homestuck and I have so many mixed feelings but overall I think I’m okay with this. I mean I kinda wanted act 7 to be more than one page long, but that was super fucking anime and so hmmmmmmm

Thank you. I would not have met a lot of awesome people if it weren’t for homestuck. It has been a great four years since I started reading it, and I remember all the good times I had in the fandom, all those memes, the death jokes, all the voice acting, cosplay, the meetups, the heartbreak after character deaths, and everything fans did together to celebrate such a great piece of literature. It’s been fun, and I’m excited to play hiveswap, and read a new adventure. It’s surreal that it’s actually over, but Homestuck will always be in my heart. I’m excited to keep roleplaying, keep writing, and keeping homestuck alive. I’m so proud of us, we all made it, and we’ve made a lot of friends on the way. Just, thank you mr hussie for introducing such a varied story in our lives. I fully intend to make my niece read it when she gets old enough. Homestuck has changed our life.

me, a mentally ill motherfucker: *was already extremely depressed and feeling cheated by life before the final upd8 and said upd8 pushed those feelings now to the tipping point*

to be honest i was sort of let down by the final update. I mean the animation itself was glorious (we are finally the anime we deserved to be) but contentwise, it was....lacking. There wasn’t an actual conclusion to it all and that was disappointing. We didn’t get to see an actual fight with Lord English, I have absolutely no idea how the timeline for Caliborn and the kids getting trapped even works now that John rebooted the timeline, and we never find out if their new universe made it or not.
I dunno, a lot of my homestuck friends are really happy with the ending and i’m just sort of feeling underwhelmed by it.
