Imagine Shane and Ryan's romantic relationship developing throughout the quarantine through zoom, FaceTime or Skype or whatever. Like them realising and taking about their feelings and all of the romantic cliches that come with it, complete with phone and video chat sex with them working through their kinks. And then once the quarantine ends, BOOM! they are beautiful and in love and move in together. Basically they get into a long distance relationship and make it work.
That’s such a sweet thing to imagine, love in times of covid (?)
Imagine, it’s such a common thing for them to see each other daily and suddenly having to do so through video and calls only, it’s kinda sad at times but it slowly makes them realize-- this is someone I can’t really live without.
And it’s not just that they gotta work, so they keep in touch, it’s the fact that sometimes, through the day, they will remember each other and wonder how the other is doing and how they look like today.
They know each other’s clothes and cologne, what they look like when waking up and when about to go to sleep. What they sound like in the morning and while eating, and when they eat and work out, and just sit down to be lazy.
Is it weird to know your friend’s rutine this much? It eventually leads them to other places and other things, deeper conversations that turn into one of those ‘the sun is coming up’ sessions of confession they used to have when they travelled for Unsolved.
One day, they realize. And things just change. Who gives the first step, nobody is sure, but it’s probably the most important step ever taken between them.
