15 Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone should love the world, the love of the Father is not in him; 16 Because all that which is in the world, the passionate urge of the flesh, and the passionate urge of the eyes, and the boastfulness (vaunting, empty boasts, braggadocios) of life, is not from out of the Father, but rather is from out of the world. 17 And the world is passing away and the passionate urge of it; however the one doing the will of God abides (remains) unto the age. 18 Young children (paidia), it is the last hour, and just as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have emerged, whereby we know that it is the last hour.
