Is anyone else aware of the existence of a target special edition of The Final Gambit. It doesn’t have any extra chapters or anything but an interview with JLB and some pictures from her diary. Just got my own copy of the special edition final gambit and as I reread sections I’m just taking in how good it all really was. I always forget that Graysons confession and their kind of “big scene” (I wanted her to be you… there are so many things I will never say) takes place in the chapel. Kind of adds another level to it honestly by choice or just coincidence of the setting. Also just before, Eve begs out that her and Grayson are the same and this comes up again in The Brothers Hawthorne but I can’t even see where she’s thinking that. They couldn’t be more different: he refuses to let people see him struggle and she uses it to manipulate them. I just don’t understand how she thinks theyre the same.
I feel like I’m going crazy because I once saw, in the past 2 months maybe a post explaining Graysons username in TBH abt the meaning of nonerrata and I’ve been thinking abt it and I can’t find it. Tumblr is so hard to search or find stuff one. I remember liking it but thats all. I tried going thru likes on the webpage but that has proven fruitless. I can’t bring myself to start The Same Backwards as Forwards because ik it will break me and I can’t even think about Grayson Hawthorne without crying because he’s really been thru it. But on that note isnt it sl weird how he always falls for a girl (Avery and Lyra) when they’re around 17, the age Emily died. And I feel like we really just forget about Emily. Ik as a reader she sucked and I hated to see her name on my page but she’s gone and it they’ve all moved on fully. Maybe I don’t understand grief well enough but I thought she’d come up more in the Brothers Hawthorne in their daily thoughts. Even just briefly. She wasn’t just this girl they dated, she knew them growing up, she was present for a good portion of their childhood, especially summers when TBH takes place. Anyways, not an Emily defender at all, just thinking about how she impacted them so much at the start and ig they’d healed enough to forget??
Just met Jennifer Lynn Barnes. Crazy stuff, life changing. She’s so pretty nice and lowkey confirmed Grayson and Avery were right person wrong time. And shes seen the tiktok of someone drawing hawthorne house. Who knows if I’ll ever recover.
