BIG FILM NEWS! I am super proud to announce that our short film THE UNBRIDLED FEW is an official selection of the Festival del Cinema di Cefalù! I don't think I've ever had a short film I've directed screen in Italy before so today I'm a pretty proud Italian boy over here!
THIS IS STILL NOT THE OFFICIAL POSTER. You may remember last week I was pissed because James Cloyton, the graphic designer I paid to make our poster, sent me what was essentially a horse photo with simple text on it, SOMETHING I COULD HAVE DONE. After several emails he told me he addressed all my revisions and then sent me THIS. I did not ask him to just put "OFFICIAL POSTER" at the top, why the hell would I??? Also why the hell would I want the term "HORSE MOVIE" on our poster? Yes this movie is about horses but I don't want to call it "HORSE MOVIE." This frigging guy said this was THE FINAL IMAGE and he didn't even fill in the credits at the bottom! I get that the guy just had foot surgery but "OFFICIAL POSTER" is a blatant middle finger to me right?

Tarkiyah Melton asked questions that were both thought-provoking and insightful. We learned that VR/AR promises to revolutionize every major industry from healthcare to education. Most profound is it's impact on Film. The panel pointed out that the technology to make VR/AR films does exist, although it is compartmentalized or fractured. But the real problem is understanding how to tell a story using this new technology. For example the traditional way to tell stories in film is scene, scene, scene. This method does not lend itself to VR. The panel unanimously agreed that who ever masters the art of telling stories in VR/AR will be rewarded greatly.Â
