Me: I'm bored and making weird things. Me: [sends file: "imbored.jpg"] @jurian-is-cinnamon-roll: This is awesome! Me: [sends file: "imstillbored.jpg"] @jurian-is-cinnamon-roll: The file names are charming as well. (some time later) Me: I was a bit unhappy with the original, so I decided to fix it. Me: [sends file: "nowimboredmorenicely.jpg"] @jurian-is-cinnamon-roll: I just downloaded it and I'm in stitches over the file name.
Well, considering that one time at work I saved an Excel file for some additional calculations as "Insane Combine Harvester Operator.xls" and copied my mom's photos of the snow outside in a folder named "dżonśnieg" (literally "jonsnow"), those filenames are par for the course.
Hell, if you saw the "FUCK YOU. STRONG LETTER TO FOLLOW." meme, I have a copy of that image saved somewhere as "fuckogram.jpg".
What the hell is up with the filenames in deltarune? We already know about DEVICE/IMAGE_FRIEND, but what about Susie's theme being named "s_neo" with the box puzzle section being called "neoruins", some "charaHeart", King's chain of justice being called the "chain_of_hell" along with the enraged difficulty spike in the Spamton NEO fight being called "hellmode", "april_2012", Kris and Asriel's room being "myroom" (the other parts of the house are also "myhallway" or "mybathroom", save for Toriel's room) and all the other instances of my in the variables, "lastsound_dontmove" is Asgore's talk sound and wherever "dadblast" is used, "ocean" playing when you first fall into the dark world", "revival" when you seal a fountain, "GALLERY" being in uppercase like "KEYGEN";"DEFEAT";"DARKNESS";"STORY";"DRONE";"ANOTHERHIM", the mole guy in the diner's filename of "most_improved_1997", "w";"wind";"wind_highplace", "him_quick" playing when you drop down into castle town in chapter 2, sans's theme is named "muscle", rouxl's is "ruruskaado", berdly's in the weird route is "d".ogg, "THE_HOLY" playing when you're about to seal a fountain, "the_dark_truth" in the roaring cutscene, etc?
If you don't believe some of these, you can search up the names in the 'mus' folder or with the undertalemodtool. I might've gotten some of the file usage locations wrong, though, so feel free to correct me on that.
One has to wonder what this could be factoring into.
