Big mistake. Zack had put on his best puppy face. And Angeal could resist that. But not eternally.  He had initially thought about failing him outright for this exam. It would delay his exam for the Second Class promotion by about 2 months. Harsh. But with those too wide eyes fixed on him and pouty lips, he couldn’t bring himself to do that. Not with that perfectly practiced kicked puppy look. He sighed again as his resolution wavered. As always.  “Not today. I’m not in the mood and concentrated enough to be able to coordinate your movements with those of four other people. But I’ll let you try again next Monday. Don’t blow it up.”

The First class simply stared down at the young man. His brows were deeply furrowed and his lips were pulled in a harsh line. He had crossed his arms over his chest, his fingers impatiently drumming on his bicep, bulging from the tension in his body. “There is nothing to explain, Zackary. You demonstrated your incapacity to follow simple orders. Okay, yes, it was a simulation…. But imagine if it had been real. Your disobeyed my orders and jumped the gun. You’re good, I can’t deny that. Everybody with an ounce of brains can see that. But it makes you cocky, overconfident. And this cockiness of yours caused the destruction of a village.”
