Could I request something Bi colored/related? I only recently figured out my identity and really enjoy your art
You sure can!! Bi-Pride colors are fab!!! And so are you!!
I really like your drawings
Thanks âNonymous!!!!
I really like you!! Hope you are finding your magic today!!!
Hi I just wanted to tell you that I've been struggling with feeling isolated and like I don't truly fit in anywhere for a good while, and "your magic" made me feel good about myself for the first time in weeks. I cried. Thank you
Hi there, âNonymous, honestly this is one of the best messages an artist can get. Especially one who has dealt with her own feelings of loneliness and not feeling good enough. But you are not alone, you fit, and Iâm rooting for you!!
Iâm wishing good things for all of you!! So have a good cry, wipe your face, then stand up and take up your space!!
Love you all!!!
Thank you so much for continuing to create such lovely work. I've been following this blog for a long time and your art never fails to put a smile on my face. Thank you â€ïž
Thanks âNonymous!!

Thank you for what you do.
Youâre Welcome!!
Hope your day is filled with good things!! Even if itâs not, remember you are a good thing in it!!!
How do you get such clear pictures of your drawings onto your computer? Do you scan them in? I draw and ink everything by hand instead of digitally and every time I transfer my pictures to my computer, they are blurry! What do you use?
Hey âNonymous!
This is a good question!! I do use a scanner for my pictures. Nothing super special. Itâs and HP printer/scanner combo. They usually come in the $50-$70 range. Which can be a bit expensive, but, for me it is definitely a worthy investment! I draw small and the scanner picks up detail that the camera just doesnât.
Now if you are using a camera there are a few things you can do to make your pictures come out better/ less blurry:
First, Iâd recommend using a higher quality digital camera than your phone camera.
The pic below is taken with my cell camera.
And this next one is taken with my Fujifilm Digital camera, which is old(from 2007 when I graduated HS) and pretty basic but still takes better pics than my cell phone.
Second, there are a few things that can help make your photos better.Â
Try to take your photos with natural light. Â
If you can tape your work up on a wall so you can hold your camera upright while you take your pic. Or if you use a sketchbook like me, use your fingers to pull the paper flat.Â
When taking your the pics take a deep breath in as you press the shutter. This will help the camera stay still as you take your photograph.Â
And donât be afraid to take a bunch of photos. You can always delete the blurry ones.
Third, donât be afraid to edit your photo once you put it on your computer/ tablet/ phone. Most computers have have basic editing software. Crop your photo. Straighten it. Play with the contrast, brightness, and color. I always edit my drawings before uploading. The pic below is my edited digital camera photo.
Itâs not perfect but definitely an upgrade from the unedited photo.Â
Of course, the scanner picks up detail that a camera just doesnât.
But even my scanned images get edited!!
So even after the initial drawing, there is still a process to posting my photos on here. Which is why it sometimes doesnât happen in the most timely manner. :)
I hope that helps, âNonymous!! And I hope the rest of you enjoyed the insight into my process!Â
And folks, I hope you share the art you make!! Even if it doesnât come out perfect in photographs!!!
Nobody can make the art you can!!!!
Iâve been reading about plants recently and had to look up online what Tillandsias clavel del aire (or âair carnationsâ) looked like. One of the Google images that popped up made me immediately think of you and your art! Just a fun âlife imitating artâ moment. I thought it was cool, and I hope you do to. Tumblr wonât let me send you the link, but if you type into google the name it should be the one with all the glass vases. Thanks for the awesome content!
Thanks for the shoutout!!Â
Air plants are generally cool! Also plants that chill in water! And plants that chill in the dirt!Â
And speaking of plants I just got a succulent in a teacup at the local flower/gift shop on Small Business Saturday!! Anybody have some good ideas for plant names??
