On top of a gluten-free flatbread, enjoy the delicious mix of sweet figs, creamy ricotta cheese, and honey. This recipe is great for a gluten-free snack or appetizer because it is easy to make.
Ingredients: 1 cup gluten-free all-purpose flour. 1/4 cup almond flour. 1/4 teaspoon salt. 1/4 teaspoon baking powder. 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cold and diced. 1/4 cup cold water. 1/2 cup ricotta cheese. 6-8 fresh figs, thinly sliced. 2 tablespoons honey. Fresh rosemary sprigs for garnish. Olive oil for drizzling.
Instructions: Preheat your oven to 400F 200C. In a food processor, combine the gluten-free all-purpose flour, almond flour, salt, and baking powder. Pulse to mix. Add the cold diced butter to the processor and pulse until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. While the food processor is running, slowly drizzle in the cold water until a dough forms. It should come together into a ball. Transfer the dough to a piece of parchment paper and use your hands to shape it into a flatbread shape, about 1/4-inch thick. Transfer the parchment paper with the dough onto a baking sheet. Spread the ricotta cheese evenly over the flatbread dough, leaving a small border around the edges. Arrange the thinly sliced figs on top of the ricotta cheese. Drizzle honey over the figs and ricotta. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes, or until the edges of the flatbread are golden brown. Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh rosemary sprigs. Drizzle with a bit of olive oil for added flavor. Allow it to cool slightly before slicing and serving. Enjoy your Gluten-Free Honey Fig Ricotta Flatbread!

This recipe combines the rich, creamy taste of brown butter carbonara with the sophisticated sweetness of roasted brown sugar figs. It all goes over hearty whole-wheat fettuccine.
Ingredients: 8 oz whole-wheat fettuccine. 4 slices thick-cut bacon, diced. 2 tbsp unsalted butter. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 2 large eggs. 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese. Salt and black pepper to taste. 8 fresh figs, halved. 2 tbsp brown sugar. 1 tbsp olive oil.
Instructions: Get the oven ready by heating it up to 400F 200C. Follow the directions on the package to cook the fettuccine until it is al dente. Remove the water and set it aside. Cook diced bacon in a pan until it gets crispy. Take the bacon out of the pan and set it aside. Leave the bacon fat in the pan. Put unsalted butter in the pan with the bacon fat. Cook for three to four minutes over medium heat, until the butter turns brown. When the butter turns brown, add the minced garlic and cook for one more minute, until the garlic smells good. Add eggs, grated Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper to a bowl and mix them together using a whisk. Put the cooked fettuccine into the pan with the garlic and browned butter. Toss the pasta to coat it. Take the pan off the heat and quickly add the egg and cheese mixture. Toss the pasta around until the sauce thickens and covers it. Put the cut figs in a different bowl and mix them with the brown sugar and olive oil until they are well covered. Put the figs on a baking sheet that has been lined with parchment paper. Roast them in a hot oven for 10 to 12 minutes, or until they get soft and caramelized. Put crispy bacon and roasted brown sugar figs on top of the brown butter carbonara. Have fun!

This easy homemade fig jam recipe requires no canning and is a delicious way to preserve the natural sweetness of fresh figs. The addition of lemon and vanilla enhances the flavor, making it a versatile spread for various dishes.
Ingredients: 2 pounds fresh figs, stems removed and chopped. 1 cup granulated sugar. 1 lemon, juiced and zested. 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract.
Instructions: In a large saucepan, combine the sugar, lemon zest, juice, and chopped figs. To help the sugar dissolve and the figs' juices come out, stir the mixture and let it sit for about fifteen minutes. Transfer the mixture to a boiling point by placing the saucepan over medium-high heat. After lowering the heat to low, simmer the jam for 45 to 50 minutes, stirring now and then, until it thickens and reaches the right consistency. After adding the vanilla extract, cook for a further five minutes. After taking the saucepan off of the burner, allow the jam to reach room temperature. Fill clean, airtight jars or other containers with the fig jam. Keep chilled for a maximum of 14 days. Savor your homemade fig jam as a condiment or on toast or crackers!
