Re: werewolf lore Did you know there's a 'myth' in Finland about some of their really old saunas? Apparently some of them had cutouts in the rear of the seating benches. This is so that the "cured" werewolves who still had their tails could sit comfortably in the sauna anyway. I love this so much ok.

In my experience, people pulling this shit aren’t actually trying to help you. They’re mostly just trying to soothe their own conscience by pretending that reaching out “fixes” all of their past mistakes. Steer clear is the one advice I’d give. Spend your time and effort on people who are willing to do the same for you!
yeah i basically cut off all contact with these people last week. i’m back to 3 people i can call “friend” and tbh i don’t think i’m capable of really endearing myself to anyone else thanks to vestigial social skills. i keep grossing them out/making them uncomfortable or something. i need to focus my energy elsewhere.

I am slightly superstitious about inviting things to go wrong, like the old ‘knock on wood’ superstition. I am careful to not get too excited for an event that isnt fully in my control, like going somewhere with friends, because that always causes it to be canceled. I also don’t like to announce that something ‘may’ happen, that also tends to cause bad luck, for me.
