I JUST RAMBLED INTO A VOICE RECORDING A TSP AU IDEA AND HOLY SHIT WHAT YEAR IS IT IM BACK IN 2023 WHEN I HAD SO MANY FUCKIN IDEAS HOLY SHIT
ANYWAYS ILL DUMP THIS AU IDEA OUT HERE
Time Capsule AU:
(Im using us right now as a frame of reference)
Some time in our past century, aliens with 12 legs invade earth to try and colonise it, causing "earth supreme" propaganda like we see in the comedic timing guide as humans go to war. This goes on for a considerable amount of time
Eventually, the war ends, but because of this early exposure to a common invader, earth joins a coalition of other planets and systems for protection (like star trek askjdh), thus causing earth to speed up in space travel and tech as a result (but the appearances still look retro to us now)
joining the coalition also causes people of other species to travel and live on earth and vice versa.
in around the the 1950s-60s, the narrator is born. he is half human half alien. he grows up on earth and has human-like mannerisms, but theres differences in his biology n whatnot.
in the 1980s-1990s the narrator works in a lab whos mission is to preserve life and keep people living for a long time, its focus is just making things to prolong life.
at this lab his coworkers happen to be the curator, settings/tk, and stanley. he isnt friends with everyone but he knows of them, this will be explained why later.
at some point, the possibility of another interplanetary war breaks out and its highly speculated that it would be because of earth/earth would be the one hit first with some sort of nuclear weapon from an enemy faction. thus, people start pivoting to bunkers
the company the narrator works in diverts all their resources on creating stasis chambers. the idea of making a sort of time capsule that slows down a persons aging process by keeping them asleep in a vat, while also keeping their minds active via an adaptive software that takes a user's memory to make a simulation that keeps them engaged while keeping their memory jogged.
they place the capsules in a bunker with intense security ensuring no one comes in, or comes out. they expect things to go to shit so they make it so no breaches happen.
eventually, the moment earth is waiting for hits, and everyone rushes to the bunkers.
Narrator, Curator, Settings/TK, and Stanley all get in their capsules and the software makes them a simulation for them to be in.
For the Narrator as a focus, his simulation is just TSP-TSPUD. Everyones appearances in it are just the simulation taking his memory of them and his perception of them and using them like reoccuring characters. Kind of like in a dream where your mind reuses assets from your memories in an nonsensical way that you understand. Everyone in the simulation is just how he remembers them.
Curator, he remembers her as being philosophical and friendly. I HC she's of the same species as he is, whether its whole or mixed like the Narrator, which is why he remembers her and her voice. well.
TK/Settings, he remembers them as someone the company hired ages ago but that theyre trying to get fired For some reason. He didn't know them all too well so all he knows is that one day they dissapear. A part of him hopes they were just promoted tho. Thus 432's appearance is gone but everywhere in the game, but settings may or may not be them
Stanley, he barely knew him since all he knew was that he was good at staying quiet and doing his job. But he does hear from beyond the grapevine of who stanley is like skateboarding and having a wife, but nothing directly from the man himself. Thus making Stanley appear boring in the game while also having a personality that isn't as obvious, which is a mix of rumors he heard + speculation on the narrators behalf.
With everyone in the capsules, the war breaks out and bombs drop. But.... nothing as bad as anyone predicted. The war ends and people leave their bunkers ready to rebuild.
Only, The capsule facility didnt get the memo. Theyre prepared for the world ending, so when it doesnt, it doesn't believe it.
People outside try to break in to get them out, but the security is too strong, people are dying trying to get in, so the survivors call it quits and just focus on rebuilding.
centuries, millennia, time passes by and theyre still down there. society has moved on and theyve been long forgotten. the city around them expands and moves up, leaving the underground abandoned and forgotten
now, since its been so long. the security measures break down and decay. the vats are doing alright but a few have already broken due to age, killing the users inside. the four we know are fine.
someone in this future set out to explore these underground places when they find the bunker and the capsules. now they could break them out with their modern tech but. the tech there is now so old anything new wont work. so they have to use the tech around them.
They find the narrator and go into his simulation via a computer, and end up as Stanley in the game. They basically play TSP with the goal of trying to get him out of it/letting the simulation shut down. The failsafes dont work (escape pod), so they keep playing.
Eventually though, they get to the figurine ending, and somehow through this, we get the narrator admitting to wanting to be free from stanley and living his own life. Causing the simulation to take it as a prompt to end it and let him go. Thus letting him free.
thats all i got on this au so far, hopefully i can finish the illustration i was working on that caused the half an hour ramble about this au in order to sort it out but thats what i got :P maybe the future persons my sona or some third party, but thats what i got

notes: there is not a lot of plot in this just bc i rlly wanted to write vibes wjfjwjfj
anywho this is a blue sky inspired wheatley fic that i wrote on the bus hope its good.
its just wheatley waking up early and feeling the simple pleasures of the morning. fluffy wjfjejf
WHEATLEY AWOKE WITH A GROAN, his back stiff and his head not wanting to stay horizontal for much longer.
it was a new experience for him honestly. typically before and after he had gotten his new flesh body, he would awake at around 9am-ish give or take a few minutes (and even then he often woke up from falling off the couch or mattress he was sleeping on) which often meant wheatley awoke to an already bright blue sky for the majority of his time as a human. the smell of cooked pastries rolling softly from the warm kitchen and chell's radio humming quietly songs to fill the air.
however, today was the rare exception to all of this as wheatley checked the clock on the wall and saw numbers reading "7:29am" in a dull yet solid white.
kicking the blankets off, he slowly rolled himself to the edge of the bed before stopping just at the right moment before he would usually fall. his plain t-shirt rolled up slightly and his faded red shorts clung tightly to his slim legs.
sitting upright, wheatley quickly stretched his arms before getting up and opening the door. trying to open it as quiet as possible.
the door creaked open, and it's here where wheatley fully realized the differences between his usual waking time and now.
the house was oddly still, where before the hustle of noise from outdoors and the kitchen would fill the silent air like a sort of melody that crept into your mind, came nothing but the hum of the fridge and the sound of wind softly rustling outside his window.
it felt somewhat eerie in a way. the silence as haunting as the chill back There, with nothing but the same white walls, cold gray surfaces, and mechanical hum of machinery surrounding you.
yet, as wheatley took a few tentative steps out into the hallway and into the living room, he could feel the comforting familiarity within the surroundings ease his rising anxiety. the floor comfortingly still, not moving an inch. the hum of the fridge consistent in its melody but holding an odd human feel to it.
it reminded him that he wasn't There anymore. free from Her grasp, and above the desolate chambers he grew used to.Β
it also reminded him that he was human now- well again. and a slight unease began to creep up from his chest, a familiar -yet quieter- voice slowly rising in his mind. worries and anxieties threatening to spill like a tsunami of thought.
exhaling, he found himself opening the front door quietly and stepped out into the porch.
the cold morning air bit at wheatley's t-shirt, it's breeze flowing through his blond tousled hair and figure like water. a soft golden yellow accenting the grass in an almost soft vintage glaze. the sky as blue and clear as ever, yet it almost seemed softer than the 9 am skies he grew used to.
he stared at the town of eaden for a while from the comfort of Chell's porch. the usually alive and thriving town in a quiet pause of peace. those awake walking at a steady pace whileΒ the rest were in their beds dreaming of frogs and other human things.Β
much like chell, wheatley thought to himself, a slight blush rising to his face as he ran a hand through his hair. his arms leaning against the railing comfortingly.
he supposed being human was a lot easier than he initially thought to be, if it meant this sort of peace and domesticity was to be found here. he *had* managed to survive being human before being put into a core after all.
wheatley smiled, closing his eyes and allowing the warm feeling of ease flow through him and linger.
suddenly wheatley could hear the familiar rhythm of footsteps coming from the door, the noise slowly fading in before becoming crisp and close.
as the noise sounded to be right beside him, he felt the pressure of someone's head leaning against his arm. soft wisps of hair grazing his skin and a familiar warmth beside him.
he didn't need to open his eyes to know it was chell.Β
"morning" chell mumbled softly, a smile evident in her voice as she yawned.
wheatley grinned, opening his eyes again as he tilted his head to rest against hers. "g'morning"
an easy quiet rested between them with nothing but the wind filling the air.
as wheatley wrapped a loose arm around chell, hand comfortingly on top of one of her own. a slow and welcoming thought came to his mind.
hello i havent posted fics in ages but, i wanted to try again, specifically to tell the story of how my self insert/sona and my narrator became friends

[I accidentally wrote a lot for the art piece, so the full art is at the end under the cut!]
"An odd silence fell between the two of them as the sun began to gently rise from its slumber and out into the sky above. A soft drizzle pouring onto the ground below as Stanley clung to the jacket resting on his shoulders. The breeze hitting his skin as he realized what this was.
It was weather.
It was the rain. It was the cool breeze against his skin, the warmth of the sun above, the grass below him, the trees surrounding him.
It was freedom. Just like the way the two had hoped that they would one day see.
The Narrator smiled softly, Gently grabbing Stanley's hand as they sat side by side on the hilltop.
He gazed out into the world around them. The sunlight making his eyes shine a familiar yellow as he turned to see all there was to see in that moment alone. There was an odd sense of finality to his face, as though he was conjuring another story in his mind. Only this time, there were no more endings, no more resets.
Simply a story with a beginning and an end.
Stanley looked at him curiously, nudging his arm as The Narrator turned to face him with a guilty look.
This made Stanley nervous. Despite having only seen the Narrator in person for a short amount of time, in all his time within the office, he never once imagined that the same man that he was hearing all this time would be sitting beside him looking at him like he was his world.
And perhaps he was, Stanley thought to himself.
'It's funny, isn't it Stanley?' The Narrator asked in a low rumble, 'To think, the ending we've both desperately dreamed of achieving, and all you had to do was get me to listen."
Stanley smiled, it was a challenge to get him to stop without a voice. An even bigger challenge to get him to listen to what he had to say.
Yet as his legs ached from running up those stairs towards the escape pod, The Narrator holding his hand as he wondered if they were really about to be freed. Stanley knew that he would do it all again if it meant that the two of them could sit on this hill together for just a brief moment.
The Narrator sighed, looking down at their hands in silent acceptance. Gently caressing soft circles on the back of Stanley's hand.
Stanley didn't need to look. The weight in his chest telling him all that he needed to know.
Stanley kept his eyes on the Narrator's face. Set on dedicating it to memory as the soft wisps of distortion chipping off the Narrator's body. His coat on his shoulders growing steadily lighter.
'It's okay,' The Narrator reassured, his free hand wrapping around Stanley's torso in a gentle side hug. 'We've both achieved our freedom. Even if it was for a brief moment.'
A sob escaped Stanley's throat. A soft gasp before he broke out into tears. He pulled The Narrator in for a hug, clinging desperately to him as he felt him hug back. The two of them holding onto each other desperately as the ending was in sight.
'Oh... I have so many things I wish to tell you Stanley.'
Stanley felt the Narrators lips press against his head tenderly.
'But this isn't my ending to live. It's simply another beginning to your own story.'
The two stayed like this for another moment. Holding each other in their arms as the stars faded for the morning skies' hues to colour the atmosphere above them. Tears streaming down their faces. Stanley felt the Narrator's grip grow weaker feeling the distortion grow more intense as he clung to him even harder.
'Stanley, would you mind if I narrate this moment for us? For old times sake.' He whispered. 'It will be different, I promise.'
Stanley chuckled quietly. His shoulders shaking as he nodded, wiping his tears. For once, he never thought his lines would bring him this much comfort.
The Narrator coughed, the distortion about to overtake him as he pulled Stanley in closer. Speaking with whole chest befitting for a true and final ending.
'And so, Stanley and The Narrator could feel the breeze against their skin. A new ending, and a new beginning for them both. The feeling of freedom within themselves.'
'This was exactly the way, right now, that things were meant to happen.'
'And Stanley was free.' "
[The End]
