Chapter Summary:
The Court date is past, the press is still brimming with gossip of The Nighthawk Killer, and her house may be void of all other people, but hey, at least Steph is allowed back at school where she can try to forget about everything and get through high school... too bad there's an all school assembly on recent events to sit through. Maybe she can just hide under the bleachers and ignore the whole thing.

Subject: Displeased with Recent Assembly
To whom it may concern,
I have just been informed by my dear daughter that today there was a school sanctioned presentation that could not have been vetted by the school board, as it contained material that was both troubling and unfortunate given the current goings on around our otherwise humble little town.
As I understand it, a local theatre troupe, The Starlight Players, previewed their latest ill-conceived flop today at an all school assembly intended to bring up discussions of the students murdered in Hatchetfield this fortnight.
While its all fine and dandy to discuss these students and their most likely resting place among the sinners of our world as a warning to better their lives before the final judgement, it is my understanding that not all the material was age appropriate!
One of the characters, Bruce, I believe, stated a vested interest in both a boy character and a girl character. Now, while I take some liberties, as the theatre has long found it necessary to cast women and men in each others roles, to have a character on stage in a high school claim a sexual interest in multiple genders is unthinkable.
I would like to know what you as school administrators are prepared to do about this, as my wife fainted at the mere thought of a world in which a person may touch both a man and a woman at the same time. Goodness knows what my innocent young daughter might think of it! She is only eighteen, after all.
Next time you present the students of Hatchetfield High School with the representation of things going on in our town, you need to insist to the playwrights that they stick to the wholesome narratives of our town. While people go missing every day, and some are indeed found dead, we don’t need to have students discussing temptations like multisexual deviance. Please vet the work in the future, for without this reference, it may have been a beneficial assembly on the consequences of bullying.
Sincerely,
