Magnus had a girlfriend at Bakka for three months, and Isak doubts that she ever existed. All Isak has to do is make up a name, but his mouth dries up. Scene Three, Take Two Isak is 23, a student in the veterinary program at NMBU, and working an internship at a clinic in Kongsvinger. He hasn't seen Even in three years, but randomly bumps into him on the street when he's visiting his mom in Oslo.

Lost In Reality When Isak first starts at Nissen, there's a third year boy, Even, who likes to make fun of him, pretending to flirt and taking great pleasure in making Isak uncomfortable. Isak knows all the rumours about Even's Russ group, the "Penetrators", and he knows that he shouldn't get involved. He still, somehow, gets involved. But Even disappears halfway through the year, and Isak doesn't think he'll ever see him again. He does.

A Transference of Feeling Isak hated that he was being forced to do this. He hated leaving Nissen because of his stupid parents’ stupid fights and stupid rules. Isak didn’t understand why he had to move just because they couldn’t get their shit together anymore; this felt like more punishment on top of having been left alone with his mother and all her weird moods and difficult behaviours. Nothing Softer Or More Flexible Even is suffering from writer's block. Given that he has to write and film a short film on love (Love! A subject he loves!) that's not ideal. He finds unlikely inspiration in an old essay from one Isak V.

*** Knock Four Times Isak is a senior in college, studying at a university in America. He lives in an apartment on campus with three other guys and works part-time in the student center to help with his tuition. As much as he’s enjoyed the whole college experience, he’s ready to graduate and head back to Oslo, to his city, his family, and his boyfriend.But then, during the first week of his last semester, he steps off the elevator onto his floor and sees a guy sitting in the empty hallway. Isak walks over to see if he needs help with something, and finds out three very important things: his name is Even, he just moved into the building but already got locked out, and he is fucking gorgeous.

Make me brunch and tell me you love me Even is a crown prince of Norway. While visiting a fancy restaurant in Oslo, he sees a cute trainee chef and decides, that he will do anything just to get his attention, even if that means visiting the same restaurant more than it was necesssary. Minute by Minute Isak is angry at the world after his ex Julian cheated on him. But he can´t escape his life or his ex. He needs the help of his friends to find to himself again. (Basically Isak going through the five stages after a break-up).

Even can't think of anything worse.It's only 5 weeks. And it's not like Even has anywhere better to be.

What's your secret? Isak was still standing in the hallway looking at his feet so Even decided to ask him again. "Come on." Even patted the empty space next to him. "I won't bite." Lisa barked out a laugh and Even smiled while Isak's blush got deeper. He slowly removed his jacket and scarf and moved to sit next to Even, leaving a bit of space between them. (Isak is a mysterious shy blushing mess and has a huge secret that no one knows about except Terje and Lisa's dad). Spoiler: the secret is not him being gay.

Not in the stars to hold our destiny “What the fuck,” Even murmurs, and Isak almost wants to mock him, but he refrains. He’s not 16 anymore. “Everything okay, Isak?” “Peachy.” Isak doesn’t look at him. “Go find someone else to talk to.” Miss him with that shit. “Wow, what the fuck. Get off your high horse.” Even sounds irritated, too. Good. Isak just snorts. “When you’ll take off that stick from your ass,” he hisses, and then goes up to Mikha. He doesn’t need to make a scene in front of everyone. [Or, the one in which Even and Isak can't stand each other, but they still end up together eventually.]

The Lifeguard In which Isak and his friends spend some weeks at Eva's cabin during the summer, and Isak happens to develop a crush on the local pool's lifeguard. 

Coming Home Isak's mom passes away, leaving him the house he grew up in. He pushes off going back there for three months after her funeral, using work and med school as excuses not to. Finally he returns in December and while standing outside, trying to gather the courage to walk inside for the first time since the funeral, he meets Even who is staying with his parents, the next door neighbours.
