"They find you watching cartoons"
Characters: Riddle Rosehearts, Trey Clover, Cater Diamond, Ace Trappola and Deuce Spade
Riddle rosehearts
He had just finished his usual afternoon tea, savoring it in complete solitude; just as the rules stated: precise time, exact preparation. As always.
As soon as he slowly pushed open the doors to the common room, he froze. He narrowed his eyes slightly upon discovering a television, something he usually categorizes as an “unnecessary distraction.”
“Seriously…?” he thought with a mixture of bewilderment and curiosity, when he saw you sitting there you, the leader of Ramshackle, the very person who helped so many students during their overblots enjoying such simple cartoons with so much enthusiasm.
He doesn’t consider it “ridiculous,” but a part of his mind (rigidly educated by his mother) whispers that this is improper and undignified for a leader.
He stood there totally still in the doorway for a few seconds, watching you in silence, as if trying to decide something. “Should I scold them… or let them have this little moment of peace?” he wondered, somewhat indecisive.
Finally, he let out an almost imperceptible sigh and chose not to interrupt you, though he was already mentally determined to demand that you remove the television later.
Still, if he feels a certain affection for you, he will end up sitting discreetly beside you, keeping a solemn silence… until he discovers that, without realizing it, he is already interested in what is on the screen.
“This… isn’t so bad,” he would admit to himself, with a slight warmth in his chest.
Seeing how much you enjoy the show, he might even buy something related to it to give you as a gift; cheeks flushed, trying to hide his embarrassment as he awkwardly hands it to you.
Trey Clover
When he sees you, he lets out a small laugh, without any bad intention, shaking his head with slight fondness
He won’t say anything to tease you; he’ll probably think “it’s adorable,” before naturally continuing on his way to the kitchen.
While you keep watching the television, he’ll prepare something to drink and a small cake. He’ll sit next to you calmly, watching your expression more than the screen.
He’s not a big fan of cartoons (he prefers cooking shows or documentaries) so at first he finds them a bit noisy and exaggerated.
Still, when you excitedly comment on a scene, he turns toward you and listens with gentle attention. “As long as you’re happy…,” he thinks with a warm smile.
He’ll hold back the urge to make a joke, but his amused look will probably give him away.
He’ll stay by your side patiently, taking a deep breath every time you laugh; and within himself he’ll feel comforted seeing how much you enjoy it.
Cater Diamond
The first thing that came out of his mouth was a soft “Awww,” mixed with an amused giggle.
He quickly took out his phone and, without saying a single word, snapped a couple pictures of you. “#childlikeSweetness,” he wrote mischievously while pretending he didn’t do anything.
If you invite him, he’ll flop down next to you; rest his arm on your shoulder and keep using his phone without paying much attention to the show.
“Who put a TV here, lol?” he’ll wonder mentally, laughing under his breath.
If he suddenly hears a line that catches his attention, he’ll raise an eyebrow, look at the screen out of curiosity and then immediately go back to his phone.
If the show is popular on social media, he will focus all his attention just so he can make a post commenting what he thinks.
If the show is popular on social media, he will focus all his attention just so he can make a post commenting what he thinks.
He might even ask your opinion, leaning toward you and whispering in complicity, “and what do you think? I want to put it in my post.”
Now, if it turns out to be a Barbie show, he will shamelessly transform into an excited child, leaning his elbows on his knees and watching intently as if it were his favorite premiere.
It’s not that he fully understands your enthusiasm for watching children’s cartoons… but he won’t judge you for a single second.
If he hears something curious, he’ll turn his head slightly toward you just to comment on it in a playful tone, and then go back to his phone just as naturally.
Deuce spade
Maybe you’re the one watching cartoons… but he’s the one who gets excited first.
As soon as he sees the screen, he opens his eyes with genuine surprise and mutters “Eh? Oh, I know this show!” before dropping to the floor beside you.
He puts aside his exemplary student image without thinking even for a second: “exams happen every day… watching cartoons with a friend doesn’t,” he thought decisively.
He lays down on his stomach in front of the TV without caring in the slightest, completely hooked; in fact, he starts telling you his favorite characters before you can even speak.
If the show has chicks or cute little animals, his excitement multiplies. “Look at that one! It’s way too adorable!” he’ll say with total honesty.
He’ll listen to every one of your opinions with enthusiasm, nodding energetically and even discussing theories about what might happen next.
Later he’ll send you a message telling you what time the next episode is on, as if it were an important announcement.
He’ll take the morals very seriously, and he might even tear up if there’s a touching scene.
And if anyone tries to make fun of you for watching this kind of program, he’ll step forward without hesitation, frowning firmly. “If they have a problem with that, they can come to me first,” he’ll think determinedly.
Ace Trappola
He laughed as soon as he saw you and blurted out without any filter, “Are you really watching that?”
However, barely a second later, he sat down beside you as if nothing happened.
He’s not exactly quiet: he comments, complains, criticizes the animation, and asks obvious questions with the sole intention of annoying you.
“How can that character be so dumb? It’s so obvious what’s going on!” he grumbles every two minutes.
The moment you scold him, he crosses his arms with fake indignation and mutters, “You should be grateful I’m wasting my time on this nonsense with you.”
Still, later on, he’ll be the one giving you a light pat on the arm and whispering, “Hey, that show… the one from yesterday is about to start,” even though he doesn’t even remember the title.
He doesn’t question how that television appeared in Heartslabyul; it just… happens. And that’s it.
If someone sees him watching cartoons with you, he immediately stiffens and pretends he was only “passing by,” making up ridiculous excuses.
At one point he’ll turn to Trey to ask him to make a dish that appeared in the show, though Trey completely ignores him.
Despite all the teasing, every now and then he softly smiles when he sees how happy you are… though he quickly looks away so you don’t notice.
And yes… he’ll keep annoying you, but he’ll do it right beside you, without leaving.
