Where To Get Half-Inch Fiberglass Fence Posts
Half-inch fiberglass fence posts can be hard to get locally. I know it’s a pain to get them on the internet and then wait 4-5 days for their arrival. Adding insult to injury, FedEx and UPS gleefully add surcharges for shipping items over 4 feet long, so shipping can be costly.
However, if you can’t find the posts you seek locally, then the internet is your best bet. A good source is the Fiberglass Electric Fence Posts section of the Horse Fence Store, which sells a large variety of fiberglass posts. These include bundles of half-inchers 4, 5, and 6 feet long as well as an array of 3/8, 5/8. 11/16, and 3/4 inchers. For appearance-conscious homeowners, I especially like some of the 3/8-inch posts that besides coming in white are available in a deep forest green color that blends into the background. For shorter posts, Top Dog Fences and Mr. McGregor’s Garden Store offer 3/8-inch fiberglass posts that are, respectively, 36 to 48 inches and 18 to 27 inches long.
For posts up to 4 feet long, travel time is the main annoyance (shipping is pretty reasonable). But if you are getting longer posts, be sure to check out the freight cost in your shopping cart before you buy, because shipping can be expensive.
