PROFILE.

Driven and enthusiastic, [𝐺𝐴𝑅𝐷𝐸𝑁 𝑉𝐴𝑅𝐼𝐸𝑇𝑌]’s promising career with the Foundation has become rather turbulent in the last few months. Originally scouted by Ex-Head of Containment at Site-120, Dr. Adam Barclay, from the population of Nx-33, “Inverness-shire,” Scotland, [𝐺𝐴𝑅𝐷𝐸𝑁 𝑉𝐴𝑅𝐼𝐸𝑇𝑌] showed potential that was hard to dismiss. In the years after their recruitment, [𝐺𝐴𝑅𝐷𝐸𝑁 𝑉𝐴𝑅𝐼𝐸𝑇𝑌] quickly impressed senior staff members at Site-120 with their innovative containment procedures and patents. Although their research was unorthodox, these groundbreaking experiments reached them the position of a Lead Researcher at Site-120 — a standing significantly higher than their former mentor, Dr. Barclay. Perhaps this led Barclay into the arms of the Group of Interest known as The Hive. The exact series of events that lead to Barclay’s betrayal seven years ago are still unclear, as are his present whereabouts and intentions. While investigating the scandal, the Foundation demoted [𝐺𝐴𝑅𝐷𝐸𝑁 𝑉𝐴𝑅𝐼𝐸𝑇𝑌] to Assistant Researcher, but outside of that mentorship, the internal investigation did not uncover any direct link between [𝐺𝐴𝑅𝐷𝐸𝑁 𝑉𝐴𝑅𝐼𝐸𝑇𝑌] and the Hive. Since seven years ago, they have remained Assistant Researcher, the ties to Barclay's expulsion a lingering presence in their Foundation career. However, the Committee believes it may be time again for [𝐺𝐴𝑅𝐷𝐸𝑁 𝑉𝐴𝑅𝐼𝐸𝑇𝑌] to rise. 𝑉𝐸𝐿𝑉𝐸𝑇 𝐺𝐿𝑂𝑉𝐸. You'd like to think of yourself as a friendly person but this teammate drives you up the wall, and maybe the ceiling? Though they've saved your behind when you've been stuck in an unwanted social situation, their finesse and mannerisms come off practiced to you. It'd be nice to know if they were actually interested in your research or if they're letting you talk on for other reasons...

𝑄𝑈𝑂𝑇𝐸 𝑈𝑁𝑄𝑈𝑂𝑇𝐸. This new teammate stands just to the left of their words, in the same way an anomaly is just off from reality. They clearly know more than they say, and the puzzle is figuring out what they want and what they’ll do to get it. Without giving away too much information yourself, of course. The fact that there's a history of inconveniencing the Foundation is the cherry on top.

The Ethics Committee is eager to acquire [𝐷𝑌𝐼𝑁𝐺 𝐵𝑅𝐸𝐸𝐷] and his decades of varied, field-tested experience for MTF Chi-00. Recruited after a youthful encounter with MTF Delta-14 “Winter Wonderland,” [𝐷𝑌𝐼𝑁𝐺 𝐵𝑅𝐸𝐸𝐷] was quickly reassigned from Foundation Security to Parazoology, onward to Tactical Theology, and, ultimately, a distinguished career spanning several relevant Task Forces. While some might remark that [𝐷𝑌𝐼𝑁𝐺 𝐵𝑅𝐸𝐸𝐷] could easily have furthered his rank, comfort, and prestige by settling in any of these roles long-term, his file reflects a persistent hunt for new challenges — and a willingness to generate friction whenever he finds himself at odds with not only the conduct of teammates, but the directives of superiors. PROFILE.

Though SCP-6997-A is still listed in official documentation as Agent Nathaniel Ortiz, I firmly believe Ortiz ceased to exist on ██/██/████. However, whether SCP-6997-A is aware or even suspects that it is not the original Ortiz is unclear at this time. We can say with any level of certainty that, at this date, SCP-6997-A has not shown any anomalous properties of note other than the means of its creation. Indeed, no such thing has ever been recorded in the decades-long history of observing and maintaining SCP-6997. And while SCP-6997-A may be the breakthrough we need to understand the obelisk, the mystery behind the true purpose of its existence is decidedly unnerving. As was its sudden request to be reassigned to AEED. Though AEED is less than ideal, lest it reveal its true nature to one of the Ethics Committee’s bleeding hearts, it must be removed from the Anti-Mnestics Division as soon as possible. To raise as few alarm bells as possible, I recommend using our insiders to reassign SCP-6997-A to the Broken Scales of Themis, where one of our most loyal operatives can more closely monitor it. JUNIOR LAB ASSISTANT; AEED, A  role  requested  by  the  operative  and  approved  five  months  ago.  Peers  in  the  Anti-Mnestics  Department  were  curious  as  to  why  their  career  field  agent  decided  to  start  fresh  in  research.  They  believe  this  request  to  be  a  “midlife”  crisis  case  after  the  previous  field  operative's  incident  with  SCP-6997  on  ██/██/████.

INTERRELATIONS OF NOTE.
