Tredd has a lot of insecurities under that fuckboy attitude.
A lot. The poor man probably cries in a mirror each night.
Luche? Just a dick. There is no redeemable quality about him, other than his blunt honesty about some subjects.
Crowe makes herself at home in Nyx or Libertus' apartments. She'll bring beer, plop down on the nearest comfortable surface and pop one open regardless of whether the resident is there or not.
Crowe, Nyx, and Libertus have occasional movie nights with each other. Lib's usually the first to fall asleep, and Crowe sleeps on either guy. Whichever is closer. They all cuddle sometimes, it brings them back to their younger days, where they'd have sleepovers and Crowe would need to come along because there was nowhere else for her to go. It was fine, no one minded.
On that same subject, Crowe and Selena got along really well. Crowe babysat when Nyx and Libertus were too busy running their bar, and when Nyx's mother was occupied. She really became part of the family.
As much as the trio sees themselves as a family, they've also had a few romantic encounters. Mostly when they were buzzed and daring.
Axis speaks every now and then, though that term is subjective. Sometimes he'll speak up every few weeks, other times it can be years until someone hears him utter a single word. He has nothing to say to the likes of the Glaive.
Noctis: all mornings are lazy with him. He’s quite the sleep snuggler, so more than likely you’ll wake up with him attached to your back like a baby koala bear. He prefers to wake up naturally, it just improves his mood over all throughout the day. Be gentle waking him up and you’ll earn a little smile and a chuckle.
Prompto: he always wakes up first, peppering your cheeks with little kisses. He giggles a lot in the morning, and doesn’t mind lingering in bed for some good morning cuddling. But after a while he’ll start to get a little bored and needs some stimulation and things to do.
Gladio: incredibly and increasingly rare are the mornings where you wake up and Gladio is still there. But once in a blue moon you’ll wake up to find him draped over you, snoring quietly in your ear. He’lol roll over and pull you onto his chest, holding you against him in a tight bear hug while he tries to get some more sleep.
Ignis: Like Gladio it’s rare you’ll see him sleep in. Sometimes though you can catch him still snoozing after 7 am, his hair a mess, glasses on the bedside table, his pj shirt slightly unbuttoned and askew. Wake him gently with a good morning kiss. He won’t linger in bed long but the few minutes you do spend together are sweet none the less.
Cor: you’re fairly certain Cor has seen every sunrise every day for the last 30 years. The man never sleeps in. Only once did you manage to keep him in bed past 6 am and you had to use more...salacious means to achieve that. At least he’ll sit on the couch to cuddle for a bit while he has his coffee before work. He’ll find the time to give you somewhat of a normal relationship.
Could I please request a fluffy one shot in which the reader who's in love with Iggy notices he's tired and gently tells him to pull over and let her take the wheel for a while? She reminds him he can let them know if he needs a break/that he needs to care for himself too, and he's surprised she's noticed his martyrous tendencies. This is of course if you're up for it, as you must take care of yourself too. ❤ you and your beautiful creations❤
aaahhhh I’m loving all the cute Iggy requests huhu my heart!! thank you lovely, here’s your request! I’m trying something new by writing in present tense, so idk I guess lmk if y’all like that or in past tense?? I hope you’re taking care of yourself too <3
The only other sound accompanying the Regalia’s revving engine is the collective snoring of Prompto, Noctis, and Gladio from behind. Spending the entirety of the day going on hunts for extra gil obviously took a lot out of all of you, but Ignis’ dedication to his job, his brothers, and you knows no bounds. Darkness is beginning to overtake your surroundings, but there hasn’t been a hotel or caravan sign in miles. There’s an air of anxiety that’s starting to build up; you needed to find a place to crash, and fast.
With one hand on the wheel and the other on the clutch, he’s speeding down the road in an attempt to beat the setting sun. A sigh escapes his lips, and although he isn’t verbalising it, you already know what’s running through his mind.
Fixing your position in the front seat, you turned the side and shot him a worried look. “Iggy?”
Keeping his eyes in front, he replies, “Mm?”
“I… You’re tired, and frustrated,” you inform him as if he doesn’t already know. “You should take a break.”
“We must find a place to retire before the daemons appear,” he says, shaking his head.
You nod, “Right, um, of course.” And you sink back down in your seat.
“Besides, I would never forgive myself if I put you in harm’s way.”
Although you hear that statement from him loud and clear, it seems like he didn’t mean to say it out loud. You look over to him again, watching a faint pink hit his cheeks. Taking a deep breath, you reach out and grab a hold of his hand placed over the clutch. His wide eyes move down to your intertwined hands for a split second before catching himself and looking back up at the empty road.
“You’re exhausted, Iggy. Please let me take over so you can rest until we find a place,” you offer sincerely.
He turns his head to you for a quick second. Seeing the warmth in your eyes melts his already fatigued heart into a puddle, and he finally, finally accepts your offer. Pulling over to the side in defeat, you switch places with him and get back on the road slowly.
“Are you certain you’re alright driving?” he asks.
You grin, “More alright than you are at this very moment.”
He responds with a soft chuckle, taking off his spectacles and rubbing the bridge of his nose. He closes his eyes and exhales deeply as he feels the burden of navigating being lifted off his shoulder.
“You don’t need to ignore your own needs for us, you know,” you say, careful not to sound offensive. “I understand Prompto and Noctis combined can be a handful, but your well-being is just as important.”
“It’s my duty,” he simply replies.
“I understand,” you nod, “but you come first before your duty. I don’t know what I’d do if I lost you.”
His eyes gaze at your features against the soft light of dusk. Warily, he snakes his now ungloved hand on top of yours and squeezes it in appreciation.
“It’s truly surprising when someone notices those actions of mine,” he smiles. “Thank you.” He follows his gratitude with a long kiss to your knuckles.
You take a deep breath, trying not to implode with the rush of emotions he’s throwing your way right now. As you keep your eyes locked on the road, you smile to yourself.
“You’re welcome. And if you ever need help with anything, you know you can always ask me.”
Iggy’s heavy breathing joins the chorus of the rest of the KO’d boys. You laugh quietly and look down at your hands still clasped together, making sure not to let go.
“And I love you,” your murmur to yourself. “But that’s obviously something I’ll never be able tell you when you’re awake.”

“Guys, do you all realize what day is tomorrow,” Prompto questioned, as everyone sat inside the room of the Leville, each person freshly clean and dried off after a long day of excursion around the city.
“Um, Wednesday,” replied a confused Noctis.
“Close buddy, really close,” Prompto grinned at his friend, giving him a thumbs up, “But what holiday is tomorrow.”
Ignis was too engrossed within the novel he was reading to answer and Gladio sat in a chair with his arms crossed, looking as though he had plenty of other things on his mind than the conversation Prompto was attempting to have with the group. You sat on the edge of the bed, struggling to rake you mind of important events that were soon due, but nothing came to mind.
“It’s Valentine’s Day,” Prompto spoke smoothly, “The day of love.”
Gladio sighed, leaning his head back in the chair and closing his eyes. Ignis nodded his head in reaction while Noctis’s expression was one of “how did I not know that”.
“Really,” you asked, “Couldn’t be a better holiday?”
Prompto, Noctis, and Gladio all glanced at you, and even Ignis’s eyes broke away from the text of his book to gaze your direction.
“Don’t like Valentine’s Day Y/N,” asked a smug Gladio.
“It isn’t that I hate the day itself, I just don’t see it useful or beneficial to society whatsoever,” you spoke in a matter of fact tone.
“Someone’s bitter,” Prompto muttered, while Noctis nodded his head in agreement.
“Look, Christmas, sure let’s open gifts and give back; Easter, who doesn’t love eggs or bunnies, but Valentine’s Day? It’s ridiculous. How do chocolates and balloons express someone’s desire to be with another? It doesn’t. It is just another way for stores to make money and exploit the idea of love.”
The boys sat a moment looking at you. Ignis softly chuckled and continued reading, while Gladio shook his head and chuckled too. Prompto looked to Noctis, both nodding their heads as though the two boys shared a common thought.
“You were dumped on Valentine’s Day weren’t you,” Noctis asked.
“What? No.”
“Or maybe right before,” added Prompto, crossing his arms, his face full of curiosity.
“No, neither of those things I-,” you began.
“Oh, then maybe you have just never had a Valentine,” Noctis questioned.
“Having a Valentine does not factor into why I don’t like the holiday.” You could feel your face getting a little hot. Talking about your dating life was not a topic of conversation you had with the guys. Not to mention, never having a Valentine always made you kind of touchy around this time of the year. Everyone else you knew had a significant other while you normally sat in your apartment alone eating chocolates and watching rom-coms. This was the first year you would be breaking tradition seeing as though you were on a journey with the guys and you regretted opening your mouth and commenting on the topic at all.
“Aw Y/N, you haven’t had a Valentine,” Noctis reacted.
“Don’t worry Y/N, I’ll be your Valentine,” Prompto cried, giving you a grin.
“Guys it isn’t a big deal,” you sighed, standing up, “I’m not bitter or anything I promise. I just think the holiday is over the top and unnecessary.”
“Yeah but it’s nice to be loved and gifts are always a plus,” Prompto responded.
“I’m sure it is Prom but I just don’t fancy it.” You grabbed your bag off the chair by the door and turned to the guys, “I’m going to my room, I’ll see y’all in the morning.”
“O-oh okay,” Prompto replied, looking at Noctis who gave you a slight wave. Gladio had fallen asleep in the chair, rather quickly to your surprise and Iggy sat still as a statue, his eyes racing across the book pages.
Closing the door behind you, you stood a moment and heaved a heavy sigh. Trudging down the hallway to your room you drug your tired legs a few doors down. Besides being mentally drained from the previous conversations, you were physically exhausted from scouring the city all day. All you wanted to do was crawl into bed and sleep off the events of the evening and to rest your weary bones. As you approached your door you narrowed your eyes on a small envelope tapped right under the peephole. Your name was beautifully scribed on the front and hearts lined the edges of the red parcel. Carefully peeling the packet away from the door you entered your room as your heart skipped beats.
Sitting on your bed you slowly opened the envelope. Inside was a card, ten times more ornate than the covering itself. “Be Mine” were the only words on the front, but beautiful roses were hand painted across the cover of the card. Glitter outlined the flowers and a ribbon appeared to be sewn along the border of the paper. Opening the card, a small poem, written in the same intricate writing as your name, lined the page:
“Roses are Red
Birds like to sing
Join me for dinner
Tomorrow evening?”
At the bottom of the page was an address to the location of dinning spot. Your head raced at the thought of who this admirer could be, not to mention there was also a bit of hesitation at the back of your mind wondering if this was some sort of sick joke. You placed the letter on your bedside table and crawled into the bed, closing your eyes, eventually letting sleep take over all your worry.
******
The day had dragged on mercilessly slow however your anxiety was at an all-time high. You joined the guys for breakfast and travelled the city with them during the day but kept to yourself for most of it. They could tell you appeared restless, but thought against prodding at you as they had the previous evening. You were sure to mention there were no hard feelings, to which Prompto and Noctis smiled in return. As a way of apologizing to you, both bought you a single rose which left you grinning from ear to ear.
Glancing at the sky you noticed the sun making its way to the West, as purple and orange hues spread across the horizon. “Hey guys, would you mind if I went back to the hotel,” you asked hesitantly.
“No not at all,” Gladio replied, “You feeling okay though?”
“Yeah, I’m just kind of worn out from walking all day. Plus we haven’t really been able to take a break since we left Insomnia and I kind of want to rest as much as I can before we head back out.”
“If you’re sure,” Noctis spoke.
“Yeah I’m sure, I’ll catch up with y’all later.” You turned to walk off when a voice caught you off guard.
“Well at least allow me to walk you back to the hotel,” Ignis piped up.
“Iggy you don’t have to…”
“I insist,” he replied, “It’s getting late anyway. We wouldn’t want you walking around the city in the dark.” You nodded your head, although you did not suspect it would take so long to get back the Leville.
After saying goodbye to the other guys, the two of you set off back to the hotel, creating small talk along the way. The weather was a topic of conversation as well as how lovely the sky began to look. “It’s a shame those will go away soon,” you mumbled, referring to the sunset.
“Yes,” Ignis replied, “But there are always other things that bring beauty to the world, no matter how dark.”
“You think?”
“I know,” he spoke quietly. The tone of his voice sent shivers down your spine, as you glanced over at him. He was looking at you with a soft expression that made your heart skip beats. You casually looked away, doing so slow enough so he wouldn’t realize you were actually nervous around him.
You had never thought of Ignis in such a way. There was a time in the past when you had gotten drunk and accidentally kissed him, but he brushed it off since you had been so intoxicated. You don’t remember much of that night, but you do remember that kissing him had been an exhilarating feeling that left your drunk self, wanting more. According to the guys, Iggy had to push you away numerous times, which of course you didn’t remember. When you had come to the next day and they boys had filled you in, you apologized profusely to the prince’s advisor, to which Ignis responded, “It’s quite alright. It was not all bad.” You blushed quite a bit while the rest of the boys laughed it off, since Ignis was not a man to make such jokes.
Things had not been awkward since then, but you always made sure to put that memory to the back of your mind when he was around.
Arriving at the hotel, the two of you climbed the lobby stairs and soon stood in front of your door. Thanking Ignis for the company, you entered your room and began prepping for your mystery dinner. You changed into a clean shirt, a simple red blouse perfect for the occasion, and jeans. You wore your combat boots of course and your hunting jacket, lined with a few small knives on the inside. It was not the most romantic attire, but it was what you had and it was all clean.
Adding a bit of makeup to your face, you glanced at yourself and were satisfied with your appearance. Grabbing your bag you peeked out the door to make sure the guys had not come back early and were in the hallway. To your relief they weren’t and you left the hotel, making your way to the outlook.
It was the last place you expected to meet but you did what the letter said. Jogging across the street, avoiding oncoming cars your eyes began to peer down unto the lower level of the outlook. Men and woman stood either taking pictures, gazing at the valley, or kissing the other with passion that made you uncomfortable to watch. As you scanned you noticed a table, candle lit, with a man sitting there already, viewing the valley below. You felt your heart stop for a moment when you noticed the ashen blond hair and spectacles sitting upon his face. Your gut told you to turn and run the opposite way, but your legs carried you forward almost in a robotic motion.
“Ignis,” you called out, your voice coated in curiosity.
He turned to where you called from and stood up to greet you with a smile, “Hello Y/N.”
“Y-you sent the card?”
He nodded his head, “I figured approaching it a less direct way would spike your interest.”
“When did you do it,” you questioned, “We were together, all together, the whole time.”
“I have my ways,” he laughed, “You can always leave I won’t force you to stay.”
“No,” you replied a bit too quickly, “I-I mean I’m already here, might as well join you.”
Ignis motioned for you to come over. He pulled out the seat for you as you took your place. Sitting back down, he opened the top of the dish that was covered upon the table. Fruits, veggies, meats, and cheeses filled the large plate. The both of you picked at and ate the food on the table, as a light conversation started to flow. You were amazed at how easy it was to speak with Ignis. He had a way of captivating you, just in the way he spoke. The way his mouth moved with each word he uttered; the way his hands gestured as he used them when he talked; and the way his eyes never left yours when you talked. He had your full attention and gave his to you in return.
You could smell his cologne from across the table and the scent was absolutely intoxicating. He smelled of a cedarwood, but the ebony that seemed to course through his veins mixed in for a refreshing scent. A small rose was placed within his chest pocket, which he soon revealed was for you. You gratefully smiled and placed it next to your plate, your fingers stroking the petals. You wondered how a something as simple as a flower could suddenly mean so much and display such beauty.
As you both picked at scraps on the plate Ignis spoke up, “I believe this would be a good time to let you know I did not bring dessert.”
“Oh, that’s…” you began.
“But I do know of a bakery up the road that has wonderful tiramisu.”
“That sounds great,” you replied giving him a wide grin.
Standing up he held out his hand in order to help you up. Taking it you were shocked to feel that they were so soft. You figured his palms would be callous and his knuckles raw due to all the combat he partakes in. “Everything alright,” he asked, noticing you staring at your hand resting on his.
“What,” you asked, his voice pulling you out of thought, “Yea, everything’s great.” You drew your hand away, and followed him into town. People lined the streets, crowds at every corner. Tents were set up in celebration of the day, while the masses gathered underneath to dance to the music playing aloud.
“It’s really crowded,” you laughed, trying to squeeze through groups of people. Normally you would be rather aggravated at the inconvenience, but you were in such a great mood nothing could ruin it.
“Here,” Ignis spoke, taking your hand again. He took the liberty of leading the two of you through the crowds, pulling you along, his grip never loosening.
“Ah, finally,” he sighed. The two of you had soon escaped the hordes and were in front of a small hole in the wall bakery. If you were walking to fast, you might not have even noticed it. To your dismay, Ignis let go of your hand, but for completely gentlemanly purposes. Holding the door for you, you entered the small shop, the aroma of sweets filling your nose. You inhaled, feeling as thought merely breathing in the air could give you some sort of sugar high.
“Pick whatever you would like,” Ignis spoke, placing his hand on your lower back and ushering you forward.
Glass cases lined the walls, full of treats galore. Desserts of all shapes and sizes were placed flawlessly, just begging you to try them. As your eyes scanned the room, a small cake caught your eye. It was no bigger than the size of your palm, perfectly square. Red icing covered the exterior of the cake and a small pink rose bud sat atop, piped to excellence. You opened the case door and reached in and grabbed the small pastry. Turning to Ignis you smiled, “You gave me a rose, so I’ll buy this for you. My treat.” He looked as though he was going to protest, but you merely shushed him and bought the petti four.
Wrapped up in a small box, you handed the gift to Ignis, which he gladly accepted. He grabbed himself a cup of coffee to go, which he offered to you but you declined, and the two of you left the shop to stroll the side streets of the city. Lamps lit the way and your shadows panned out across the sidewalk as the both of you sauntered slowly, enjoying the others company. You felt something inside you stirring, something you had never felt before and you wondered if it blossomed from the day’s events or if it had been there all along but unnoticed.
“Ignis, tonight has been absolutely wonderful,” you began, “It was completely unexpected, made me incredibly anxious, and I honestly was worried this was just going to be some sort of prank. But I am so thankful it was more than that.”
Grabbing your arm, Ignis stopped you in your tracks. You turned to him, caught off guard by how close he was to you. His eyes, a beautiful sea green, shone even in the dark causing your heart to flip. “If we are being honest, I have enjoyed myself too,” the advisor whispered, “I have been wanting to take you on a proper date for quite some time.”
“Really,” you questioned, your eyes mesmerized by his lips, which were only inches away from yours. You felt you throat going dry and your legs feeling weak; his smell was intoxicating.
“Yes,” he smiled, “I haven’t been able to get you off my mind since our journey began. And gods how hard it was not to kiss you again.”
“Again,” you repeated, your mind flashing back to that night multiple weeks back.
“You were intoxicated and I was not going to take advantage of you, but I swear it was one of the most difficult things to do. I told myself I would get the courage to speak up, but I knew I had to wait for the perfect moment.”
“So you picked today?”
“Well I attempted a couple weeks back, but things fell through,” he sighed, “Fighting a behemoth took a lot out of everyone, myself included, I didn’t think it would be quite appropriate.”
“I dunno,” you started, “might have been a great distraction from the bruises and exhaustion.” Ignis chuckled in reply, bringing a hand up to brush a strand of hair out of your face. The contact between his skin and yours made you catch your breath, as he held his hand against your cheek.
“May I kiss you Y/N,” he asked in a hush whisper.
“You have to ask?”
His lips curled in to a small smile, “It’s only polite.”
You answered his question by inching your face closer to his, to which he mimicked until your lips met his. His lips were soft and tasted of coffee and the movement of your lips on his sent a sensation down to your core. You face felt hot as you put your arms on his chest and he wrapped his arms around you, pulling you flush to him. Your eyes were shut and yet you saw stars; you were still and yet had never felt so alive; you were safe and hadn’t felt that way in a long time. Eventually pulling away, the two of you quietly gasped for air not having come up for a breath. Ignis rested his forehead against yours and you let out a small giggle, excitement coursing through you.
“Much better than last time,” you asked.
“I wouldn’t say so. Your lips are divine drunk or sobered.”
You looked up to him, your eyes meeting his. To think you had never noticed how beautiful Ignis was until now left you dumbstruck. Body, mind, and soul he was perfect in every way. “I’d also like to take this moment to formally ask,” he began, “Y/N.”
“Yes?”
“Will you do me the honor of being my Valentine?”
You laughed out loud at how proper he sounded, and he chuckled along with you.
“Again, you really have to ask,” you questioned him teasingly.
“I just want to hear the words from you myself, plus I would love the honor of being your first ever Valentine.”
Cupping his face in your hands, you pulled him to you and just before your lips touched you uttered a quiet “Yes”, your lips brushing his with your response. Kissing him again, you absorbed every aspect of this moment; the sounds of the city that echoed throughout the passageways, the dim lighting of the lampposts, and the feeling of utter happiness coursing through your veins. As both of your lips danced with the other you began memorizing the scent and taste of him hoping to grasp it in your mind forever and hold him for as long as you could.
Nyx woke with a start, his heart pounding in his chest. The feel of the sheets against his bare hips was different, soft and gentle, and there was a weight on his chest. He could barely stomach the thoughts that rang through his head. A comrade, corpse thrown across you as you hide in a field. The daemons won't find you under the bodies of the dead. You must have been injured, torn apart by something or other, Hero. If it's been this long, long enough to forget where you are and what happened, then they aren't coming back for you. Your sacrifice is for nothing. Your borrowed powers will be shrugged off to another. What good have you done besides getting others killed?
"Nyx?" The weight shifted. A hand met his cheek. Skin like silk stroked from his temple to his lips, warm and alive. She shifted, off of him and up. A trail of blonde slipped over her shoulder and tickled his chin. "Are you alright?"
His heart still threatened to burst and he forced a nod. The tension in his throat blossomed, threaded through his muscles and struck every nerve ending he had.
Luna sat, sheets pooling around her bare waist. She flicked the bedside lap on and shifted closer to him before grasping a hand and placing it on her chest. Nyx couldn't uncurl his fist.
"It's alright." Luna whispered. She kissed his forehead and ran a hand through his hair. "Whatever you were thinking, it's alright."
He struggled to breathe. Each pound of his heart shattered ribs. A tide of panic ran over him again and again. Nyx didn't know why this had to happen with Luna around. Why couldn't he control it until he was home?
She muttered sweet nothings while she curved her thumb across the arches of his cheekbones and the tattoo on his neck. Never close enough to smother, she tucked her knees up to her chest for some modesty. He was supposed to be her protector and now she was easing him. What warped sense of humour did the Gods have?
She helped him sit and pulled him into the curve of her shoulder. "What did you dream, Sir Ulric?" Her lips pressed against the crown of his head and she ran her fingers in circles down his bare spine.
"Sir?" Nyx choked out a laugh, struggling for normalcy. "What's with the formalities all of a sudden? Treating me like a Princess' boy toy."
Luna laughed and he felt the hum of it in her veins. Her hand curved under his chin and lifted his gaze. Before he could process the softness of her skin and glow of the lamp in her eyes, she caught his lips with hers. Her hand rested on his cheek and the warmth soothed the panicked flutter in his chest.
He may have the power of the Gods on loan from the King, but he was sleeping with the Oracle. What was there to truly fear?
Nyx wrapped a hand around her waist. In a simple twist of weight, he threw her onto the bed underneath him.
"Nyx!" She gasped against his lips with a squeal.
He broke away, elbows braced on either side of her. "What? You said you liked it when I was forward."
"You and I know you're only doing this to hide whatever it is inside." Luna frowned, the sadness reaching her eyes even as she placed her hand on his chest. She closed her eyes for a moment and her lips parted with a sigh. "There are wounds even I cannot ease. It does not mean you fight against your daemons alone, my hero."
Hero. Whatever strength he managed to get back snapped. He grasped at her, pulled her into his arms as if a tide was threatening to pull her away. He clung to her, a rock in a raging strong, as he broke. Her hands remained at his sides for only moments before she was clinging to him as well.
Luna rested her head on his shoulder, soft breath against his skin. He breathed in her scent, tried to place each of the complicated fragrances that made whatever floral perfume she wore. There was no control suddenly and his hands were shaking against the bare skin of her back. Even the touch of her silk skin against his couldn't calm him. She pulled his chest wide open and only exposed all the broken pieces.
She kissed the edge of his jaw and forced him to meet her eyes. He was drowning but he wished he was drowning in her instead of himself.
"The Gods have not forgotten you. They have not forsaken you. They cannot discard a man with as much value as you." Her lips pursed, a blush of pink on the pale flush of her skin. "I love you, Nyx Ulric."
The blood in his veins thrummed straight to his head. Nyx was going to burst. There was no response he could think of that would be appropriate. He had muttered his love in her ear a thousand times, slipping past her while on guard duty, in moments stolen on a balcony, lost in thought with her curled on his lap. Never once did he expect a response. She was betrothed to the Prince. He had assumed his role as a lover and expected nothing when the True King returned.
But she loves you. Like Crowe, your sister. Like everyone who shouts Hero.
Luna's fingers brushed away the tears falling down his cheeks. She stayed still, frozen, in his arms. "I will not take back my words."
He swallowed and spoke without thinking. "I...I don't want you do." Nyx couldn't lose her.
"Shall I say them again?" She sat fully, linked her arms around his neck and twisted her fingers in the ends of his hair. Her touch was gentle, as it always was. She treated him like a half-tamed fiend. "I love you."
Nyx's heart lived in his throat.
"I've been cursed and blessed my entire life and the Gods have given me you. Our chance meeting was fate. This is fate. I will not let go of my blessings. Do you understand?"
Was he really a blessing? Or was he a curse?
Her lips met his. An unspoken hunger, a need, was muttered against his tongue. His hands fell to her hips, thumbs circling the soft skin underneath his calloused palms. He was a blessing?
"You're wrong, Princess." He muttered the words as he trailed kisses down her neck and shoulder. "You're wrong." He traced the curve from rib to hip. She was the blessing. The Gods couldn't have given him more.
- Three days in a row with Lunyx, I might as well write an actual fic at this point?? And trust me, I'm kind of thinking about it. Cause...the Lunyx camp may have stolen my sorry ass from Luna X Noct. Damn it all.
Gif is from @annaoi and her Cyber AU. Guys, her Lunyx stuff is amazing and probably 99.9% of the reason my sorry ass started with Lunyx. Their AU has my heart and soul oh my god. Here's more of my Lunyx stuff! Drabble 1 and Drabble 2 - K
“Writing prompt for ya: Promptis + ANGST + Noct struggling with balancing his duty and his relationship + Prom being anxious about taking up Noct’s time.”
Prompto sat there on his couch twiddling his thumbs and shaking his leg while holding his phone. Here he was, attempting to text his boyfriend Noctis again, asking him if he had remembered about the plans they were supposed to have that day. Every other time, he had been shut down due to Noct’s royal duties keeping him chained at the citadel. He wondered if his plan to have a simple movie date at his house with tons of snacks would get him to finally come over. After all, it was everything he had liked so who could ever turn that down? Prompto could’ve easily gone to see Noct at the citadel but didn’t want to feel like a bother or interfere with his duties. With a sigh, he unlocked his phone and started to text him.
“Hey Noct, you coming over today?”, he asked.
The rush of anxiety that crept up his body kept him on edge. He thought that he had become an inconvenience to Noct for some time now but that feeling only intensified with every text. He bit down on his lip as he anxiously waited for a response. He knew not to keep his hopes up but somewhere deep inside of him, he hoped that Noct would come. When his phone lit up, he looked down and read the text.
“Crap, I forgot. I’m really sorry Prompto, my dad has me here all day attending these stupid meetings. Can we do it some other time?”
His head hung low as he looked away from his phone for a second while rubbing his face with his hand. Of course Noct had a meeting to go to today. Of course Noct blew him off again and he would have to spend another day at his house alone. He felt stupid and knew that he shouldn’t have made plans in the first place. He looked back at his phone and sent one last text.
“Sure”, he said before he put his phone down.

Two days later
~
Prompto heard a knock on his door assuming it was Noct since he hadn’t returned his texts or calls in two days. It wasn’t so much that he was upset but that he wanted to distance himself from getting in Noct’s way. He walked up to the door and took a deep breath before opening it and looked at the man he so desperately wanted in his arms.
“Prompto, where have you been? Why won’t you answer my calls?”, Noctis asked him, slightly annoyed that Prompto had went missing in action.
“Didn’t want to bother”, Prompto replied.
“And why would you think you’re a bother?”, Noctis said.
“Because you’re never here..”, Prompto answered, taking his gaze away from his boyfriend’s eyes.
Noctis could hear the sadness in his voice and bowed his head in frustration, only wanting to slap himself in the face for never being there for Prompto. He loved him so much and really wanted to fight for their relationship but his duties was keeping him away.
“Hey man, don’t be like that. Look… can we talk?”, he asked Prompto, gaining his attention.
“Yea”, Prompto replied and let him inside.
~~~
Prompto didn’t sit down but instead stood across from Noctis, waiting to hear what he had to say. It hurt Noctis seeing him this way and really wanted to make things right.
“Prompto look, I know I haven’t been there for you but it’s been hard for me too. You think I want to spend my day at stupid meetings instead of being here with you?”, he asked him.
Prompto was at a loss for words. Did he really want to spend time with him or was he just saying that? His insecurities ate him up inside but he couldn’t help the thought that lingered in his mind.
“You…want to be with me?”, Prompto asked, uncertain if what Noct was saying was true.
“Of course I do”, Noct said as he approached Prompto, closing the gap between them and grabbed his hands. “I always want to be with you. Which is why I asked my dad for a few days off just so I could be here with you.”
Prompto eyes litt up due to the shock. Did he really do that? No, he had to be lying. There was no way this was for real.
“R-really?”, Prompto asked with his voice now filled with sudden excitement which only cause Noctis to laugh.
“Yea really. Now c’mon, you gonna let me stay or what?, he asked.
Prompto didn’t respond but instead pulled Noctis into a tight embrace and a kiss. This was everything he had ever wanted and things were finally going to be right.
Noctis laughed again at Prompto’s sudden actions but he felt happy seeing that he was finally going to be able to spend time with the love of his life.
