“Where’s Matt?” Klaus appeared beside her, with a glass of bourbon in his hand.

“He bailed on me,” Caroline sighed dejectedly, not even bothered to hide the truth. She took the drink from him and finished it, “What’s wrong with me?”

“You mean aside from your bossy personality, flair for the dramatics and scheming personality?” He teased, gently twisting a strand of her hair around his finger.

“I’m serious, Klaus. I was standing there in my La Perla and he practically ran away!”

Klaus looked at her up and down, as though he were imagining the scene in his head, “Let’s just say, Princess, if I were there in that room with you, nothing would’ve kept me away,” he smirked and walked off.

As for canon fics, I must truthfully admit that I don’t read too many of them, because I’m more of an AU/Canon-divergent kind of girl. But here are some that I think you might enjoy regardless: 

- Their Nightly Ritual (Fills in the gaps)

- Paradise Lost (Retelling and more of 5x11)

- I Dare You (Humour fic that is Canon-compliant between 4x21 and 4x22)

that’s all i can think of right now and I’m not really sure if this is the type of canon you’re thinking of >< so sorry i suck at recommending canon fics, but if you’re interested in more canon-divergent fics, or even AU fics, I have a ton of recommendations!

Hmm… it all depends on your interests. If you like retro pixel-type games then I’d start with VI (it has a female lead, yayyy!). There’s also IV which has been remade for the DS. I played the original version and loved it.

My personal favourite is X, so I’m heavily biased in its favour. If you like turn-based strategy fighting, you’ll love it. It has an amazing story too. You can get the new HD version that also comes with X-2 so no need to track down an old PS2 copy! It has some of my favourite characters of all time.

The XIII series is really good as well. A lot of people hate it but honestly, it’s irrational hatred 90% of the time. The first game is linear, but XIII-2 and Lightning Returns aren’t linear at all. The combat system is great in all three, and XIII has arguably the best character development of all the FF games.

Then there’s VII which is really over-hyped if you ask me. But I still enjoyed it quite a bit. It’s super fun and has a great story. Not a lot of character development though. Crisis Core (which is the prequel to VII) is a really good game as well.
