⁣ Today is the day. The first official day of the @fellowflowers #ffholidaychallenge. Kicking things off with a 10K turkey trot. ⁣ ⁣ This is my favorite race of the year. Why? 3 years ago this race solidified my love/hate relationship with running. I proved to myself that I can do hard things and that if I could get through a 5K or 10K, I could get through a half marathon and maybe one day a full marathon... (still working on that one 🤣). One day... one day... 😬⁣ ⁣ Thank you to all the volunteers and sponsors who put on a great race year after year. My goal is to do this race every year for as long as I can. ⁣ Starting my @fellowflowers #FFHolidayChallenge early this year because why not?! 2 miles in the “late” morning because anything after 6:30 AM is late morning to me apparently... 🤷🏻‍♀️⁣ ⁣ So... what is the Fellow Flowers Holiday Challenge? I’m glad you asked. It is a challenge to #moveyourass 30 minutes a day everyday starting on Thanksgiving and ending on New Year’s Day. ⁣ ⁣ You can run, walk, dance, lift, row, clean your house, fold your laundry, decorate and/or shop for the holidays...any consecutive movement for 30 minutes a day counts. ⁣ ⁣ It’s fun, easy and helps through the emotional stress of the holidays.
