Finnrey Short: The Darkness Within
*Rey knew he was coming, they were synced in the Force, the two strongest in the Galaxy. When he arrives she doesn’t face him. Even without the Force she knows it’s him approaching. His steps, his breathing, she knows him too well.
R: You shouldn’t have come here Finn.
F: I had to keep my promise. I’ll always come back for you.
*There it is again, the tingle in her heart. Only he could do that to her.
R: We were innocent then. We didn’t know anything.
F: We knew enough. We knew right from wrong. I think you still do.
R: It’s too late for me.
F: No it’s not Rey. You haven’t done anything unforgivable...yet.
R: It’s in my blood. The Dark Side is destined for the Skywalkers.
F: It’s not in your blood, it’s in your mind! You’re just a tool for Kylo and Snoke. They just want you for power.
*She drops her black hood slowly and continues to speak as she finally turns to him.
R: Ben was a fool, and so is Kylo. That is why he’ll always be weak. Real power is something you are born with.
*He starred into her eyes, those golden eyes that they say matched her grandfather. Her eyes showed lightness but her voice spoke darkness. He hated that it came to this.
F: All that power and you’re still weak.
*At that, she drew her saber. The red glow gave just enough light to show her tears.
R: You are my weakness!
*He drew his saber. He wondered if she could see his tears through the blue glow.
