So I finally read through all of The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde yesterday and like. As a trans person I'm supposed to be normal about this? Yeah. Not gonna happen.

I'd love to start doing divination as a job but only if it means I get to be an ominous creature living under a bridge handing out strange fortunes to passersby. Throw a handful of fries into the darkness and await your answers. I don't do online reviews if you want to thank me spread ominous rumors about me at the local pub.

hiya bestie can please get 5, 6, 17, 23, and 31 for the halloween asks?
heya blue <3 I already answered 5 over here
6. earliest halloween costume you remember wearing?
Ursula from The Little Mermaid. My Mom made the tentacles out of tights π
17. crispy crunchy leaves or creepy twisty gourds?
UGH making me pick. Fine. The gourds.
23. have you ever smashed pumpkins?
Absolutely not those are my friends
31. do you enjoy haunted houses?
I'm not sure I've ever been in a proper haunted house attraction but I've done a scare maze and that was pretty fun! My anxiety was off the charts while I was in line but after I got inside I was fine. So I think I'd probably like haunted houses too, if I ever get the opportunity to go in one.

3 and 5 for spooky season asks? :)
3. when does spooky season start for you?
Informally, September 1st. Formally the day after Mabon.
5. do you have any halloween traditions?
I rewatch Trick r Treat every October. Preferably on the 31st but if I'm going out to do something I'll watch it ahead of time. I also like to bake something spooky and make mulled apple juice if I can manage and I always leave an extra offering for passing spirits on my altar.
for the Halloween ask bait: 9, 13, 21, 27
I just answered 13 over here π€
9. do you enjoy carving pumpkins?
I haven't actually carved a pumpkin in years, but I loved doing it as a kid. My parents had to keep a close eye on my younger self because I would try to grab the biggest knife at the table and go ham on those pour gourds π€£ Don't worry, I never got injured.
21. are you a good witch or a bad witch?
[ID: a screenshot of Winnifred Sanderson from the film Hocus Pocus, captioned with the phrase "'cause of all the witches working I'm the worst". End ID]
27. candy corn⦠yes or no?
I'm one of these freaks who loves the stuff. It's really hard to find here in the UK, but on the couple of occasions I've been able to track it down the results have been too gorey for the silver screen. An absolute bloodbath.
13, 15, and 24!!
13. witches, vampires or ghosts?
Why must we pit so many bad bitches against one another?
15. is halloween your favorite holiday?
fuck yes
24. how would you react to a toothbrush in your candy bag?
This actually happaned to me once! When I was 13 or so we flew back over to America during October half term to visit my grandparents. Apparently, one of their neighbours was a dentist. I got a toothbrush, a mini toothpaste tube and some dinosaur flossers instead of candy. Not only that, but the man was dressed as Santa Claus. For Halloween.
I didn't kick up a fuss because I knew better but I felt like everything about it just kinda went against the spirit of the holiday. I understand being worried about kids' dental hygeine when they're swimming in processed sugar but like. Nobody wants Santa to leave them toothpaste on Christmas, let alone Halloween.
Still used my dinosaur flossers though. Those were fun.
