fernanda was being abused by her in-laws and left that environment. doing so, she left her children within the influence of her less-than-admirable husband and the children's grandparents. as much work as kieran has done convincing her that she did the right thing, she's never going to live a guilt-free existence—even if she does, somehow, abandon and reject kieran's cult.

if fernanda got jealous, what she has with kieran would not be sustainable. and it is sustainable—she is one of the girls who has been with kieran for the longest time.

however, she does enjoy when her partner gets jealous over her. it makes her feel unique and valued, even when it's unreasonable, unhealthy, or controlling.

fernanda definitely trusts her gut and her heart. feelings and romantic delusions have led her astray in the past, and they may continue to lead her astray.
