GUYS I STILL REMEMBER HOW TO DRAW PAPYRUS, THIS IS THE GREATEST DAY. He’s the hardest to draw, at least for me.

That monster in the middle panel will only ever be important if I need a character to be an evil monster role. He’s my only monster FC/OC with a LV higher than 1 and that’s why he’s the one I’m showing writing dehumanizing propaganda. 

Also you’d think Frisk would be a little more stoked about not being an irredeemable demon, but oh well. 

By the way, this is probably the last time you’ll see Fennel WIndfall with an “important” speaking role, but she and Wosh may appear as BG characters in the future.

Toriel knew where this was going immediately. You will soon learn why something like this happens in the first place. Fun fact: drawing this scene was actually one of two major hurdles in getting back to writing this comic. I was so petrified of people hating this plot point and a later plot point in this chapter that I simply could not progress until recently when I've trained myself to stop caring so much.

Shaved off some dialogue in the interest of accelerating this scene. So that’s why you go from me giving you exposition to “Well that sucks, anyway here’s what we do now.” Hoping to wrap up this scene in like 3 pages or so, then we’ll go back to House Alphyne and check in on Suzy and the rest. Maybe also see what’s going on with Flowey. 

Usually when I update this comic I try to draw as many pages as I can and upload all at one as an apology for taking so long, but I think that is perpetuating the burnout. SO in an effort to get into an actual update schedule, I'm only posting this one and setting a goal. I will aim to update on Sunday nights from here on out. My old schedule was to update Saturday mornings after work, but since I've had so much burnout, giving myself all of Saturday and Sunday morning to get a page done may be my best angle to work with. That being said I kinda feel bad that this entire page is just "Writer inserts bantering with each other." This specific Woshua is the stand-in for my friend and cowriter/story brainstorm buddy, @androidreverie. Since my self-insert is the Archivist of Home(town), it made sense to have him cameo here, too. Fun fact! His little bird is actually the bird from the spines of the Nichijou Manga- Mogura. We both love Nichijou so it made sense.

Hello, I am very sleep deprived but I managed to get this done. If there’s a mistake I’ll try to fix it as soon as energy returns. 

Fennel’s point here is that if monsters wouldn’t be so cruel as to abandon a child, then why did monsters try to kill you- a child? We’ll get more into that on the next 2 pages. 

Speaking of, I wanna try to do a 2 page update next Sunday, but I don’t want anybody holding me to that. It would just be nice if I could cause then we’d be finished with this scene, finally. 

As you may have anticipated, there’s complications regarding Suzy’s past. 

I don’t really have much else to say this time, but I feel like Toriel keeps looking more and more exhausted.

Am I early or late? Daylight savings time is a thing for people in The States (for some reason) and my perception of time is off slightly. Anyway...

Suzy didn't actually die, it was a lie. Toriel is aware this happens and is mad every time she is reminded of it. If you're new to the comic or simply forgotten, here's the explanation of where monster babies come from courtesy of Flowey.

Back with another update. Was feeling really productive this weekend, it's nice. That said I spent way too long on the backgrounds in the first page, but they look nice, I guess. 

Also, I have come to find the idea of a kid being "the ambassador" to be weird, so I had to make a loophole for why they called themself that way back in chapter 1 and acknowledge that they aren't actually the true definition of an ambassador.

Aaaaaand lastly my self-insert has appeared. I have the secrets to everything.
