from /r/vexillology Top comment: Did some looking at the Fengtian clique's wiki page for some stuff, saw that the flag was missing, did some digging, and then found out that this just straight up wasn't their flag. Instead this is apparently the flag of the [Northeast Supreme Administrative Council](https://zh.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E4%B8%9C%E5%8C%97%E6%9C%80%E9%AB%98%E8%A1%8C%E6%94%BF%E5%A7%94%E5%91%98%E4%BC%9A), an organization set up by Japan to help establish Manchukuo in 1932. It looks like everyone using this currently (like Kaiserreich) is unfortunately wrong. Shame that it's such a nice flag too, but I always wondered why it so coincidentally matched up with the Manchurian flag.

from /r/vexillology Top comment: I see it's based on their actual flag, but utilizing a bend sinister instead of a lozenge, and with the characters "feng" and "tian" in the corners. The Fengtian Clique's flag was modeled on the Five-Colored Flag of the Republic of China, but with Manchu yellow dominant. This looks very good. The characters might look better in a more calligraphic style.
