if i were a feminazi i’d be genociding the men by the millions and putting them in thousands of different concentration camps but i’m literally asking for gender equality it’s super simple

i strongly believe that we need to create taxable income for stay-at-home parents and legitimize it as a form of true work and labor. make it so that those performing it do not have a career gap, or loss of independent income streams. it is important to recognize that it IS work and some of the most valuable. not valuing it imo is part of what promotes a ready-made lifestyle heavily dependent on plastic packaging with a massive carbon footprint connected to food. if someone was able to actually get paid and valued for tending to the home they would have more ability to safely grow their own food, cook from scratch, mend their own clothes, and generally slow down life and in turn consumption. i just dont think our relationship to the earth is sustainable without accepting that what we call the domestic sphere is some of the most essential work. i dont want just women to perform it. i want it to be truly valuable.
