Eve by Cat Bohannon is one of the worst books Iâve ever read, perhaps the worst. Itâs misogynistic drivel and I can not discourage you from reading it more.
Men can be women, apparently. The author never explains how this is actually true, but rather asserts it without evidence. What is gender identity? Your guess is as good as mine, the author wonât expand on it. How can men be women when they lack all the distinct evolutionary traits that biologically define human females? How can they be women when not a single cell in their bodies is a womanâs? How can they be women when they go through none of the defining life stages of girls and women â menarche, pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum, and menopause? The author will never tell⊠đ
Womenâs bodies are superior to menâs â hardier, more complicated, and more resilient. Putting on a dress and calling yourself some stupid shit like Lilith doesnât give you those defining biological traits. Being a woman is a biological reality, not a misogynistic feeling. Women are exclusively female, which is a super rad thing to be.
âMenopause is about outliving the men we love.â Menopause is in no way related to men. I canât even follow this thought itâs so stupid.
I absolutely could not disagree more that rape is âweirdly sexy.â
I could not give less of a shit that menâs penises are less sensitive than chimpanzees. Itâs not necessary to suck menâs dicks in a book about female evolution and that would have been my note if I was the editor.
âBeing a woman is actually about being a whoreâ is another nuclear take from someone whom I suspect hit her head a few too many times as a child.
And women are responsible for patriarchy?! I love it when a book wraps up with some casual victim blaming. Thatâs cool. Really insightful, not gross sex-traitor drivel at allâŠ
Bohannon is a male-centric hack. This book sucks so fucking much. I devoted two days to it and I want my time back.
