My publicist would note that I didn’t mention the Gifford situation as I was supposed to. We would take care to cover that with the next brief stop with DJ Felli Fel on KPWR power 106 shortly thereafter.
Fel: Welcome back to power 106. We have an in-studio guest joining us right now: Phillip and Cole’s Variety Team, led by this man Phil Cole. How are you Phil?
PBC: We’re doing fine.
Fel: And you’re joining us to promote a little performance, or set of performances in the area.
PBC: Yes, starting tonight t the Ice House and Comedy Store?
Fel: What time will you be performing?
PBC: It’s our next stop.
Fel: And what is your act like?
Cole: Well, there are 7 of us fellers, Mr. Felli Fel. We all do our little acts and sometimes someone interrupts us.
Brad: Like when I burst out singin’.
Ford: Or I burst into Shakespeare.
Cole: By the way, I’m Cole the rapper from Nashville and those 2 fellers are my cousins, Brad and Ford.
Fel: Ok, so it looks like you’ll have lots of fun and surprises. You have a big schedule too right?
PBC: Tomorrow we’ll be back at the Ice House, not sure what we’ll be doing but it won’t be the same as tonight. Also we’ll stop at Hollywood Improv Saturday night, then the Comedy Union on Sunday. We’ll be making a tv appearance or 2. At the moment the only one scheduled is on Conan Tuesday night.
Fel: Well, get out and see this guy.
PBC: Also...the purpose of the Conan appearance is an apology tour because we made an insensitive comment about Frank Gifford and his widow. We didn’t mean it.
Brad: I kinda meant it.
PBC: Brad gets us in trouble sometimes. Any way we gave the impression we’d like to go after Kathie Lee and...apparently some people got upset.
Fel: what bout...Kathie Lee.
PBC: Haven’t heard a word, She has other things to do you know.
Fel: Alright, so make your apology then.
PBC: Phillip and Cole’s Variety team has no intentions collectively or individually of seeking a relationship with Kathie Lee Gifford now or for the foreseeable future. We express our condolences once again for her grief and any additional pain our past statements might have caused.
Fel: Well, that’s great. You’re one fine apology writer.
PBC: Thanks. It was great being here.
